This family owned and run, award winning, Boutique Villa-Hotel offers only 18 stylish villas, all with their own private pool, 5 Massage Suites with privatepool and 10 luxury suites which have been individually designed with the peacefulness and harmony of your home in mind. Spa Gallery combined with unique tailor-made services make this Boutique Suites are ideal for couples and small families and range from 1 to 2 master bedrooms. Guests of the Suites have access to the main pool of the hotel. Villas offer 1 to 4 master bedrooms and all have spacious living rooms, fully equipped kitchens, and private pools with hot tub and stunning panoramicsea views. Some Villas, in addition to the private pool, provide private Spa facilities such as private gym room, sauna and steam bath. (The Spa Villas'pools can be heated at an extra charge).For those who want to experience Crete's clear crystal sea water, the Hotel offers a private Beach Club located just 5min drive from the Pool Villas and the Suites. WOW what can I say about Elounda Gulf Villas! Simply sunning and amazing!!! We arrived at 23.30 due to arriving on a late flight, we was greeted by security and taken to our villa. Upon arrival we was shown around and to our surprise we had a lovely note saying to enjoy the food the chef had prepared for us which was in the fridge. This was welcomed by everyone. We stayed in a 3 bedroom Mediterranean villa called Villa Arieti - the scenery from the pool is simply amazing and also from the large bedroom window - I have attached pictures for you to see. This villa gets the sun all day whilst your soaking up the beautiful views. The youngest 2 of the boys went to the kids club on a daily basis. It’s open 10-1 and then 3-6 everyday apart from Sunday when it’s closed. Christina was fantastic and the boys wanted to go back everyday - they played games, made clay ornaments, painted and so much more - they never got bored. They also offer a babysitting service in the evening if you wanted to have a meal or go out. Plenty of choice at breakfast for everyone and they were happy to make the kids fresh pancakes which went down a treat - big shout out to Giorgios and Stella who were attentive and on hand all the time. The menu for evening meal has plenty on there and I must say is Michelin Star standard - kids have a good choice also and they will accommodate also for you even if it’s not on the menu. Evening staff again here and the manager at breakfast and night were superb also. The ladies on reception will ensure your stay goes smoothly and are so knowledgeable, they recommended some restaurants in Elounda and Plaka to us, we also hired car hire for a few days through reception - BIG Thank you to Angela and Louise your expertise and knowledge is simply amazing. I had a spa treatment whilst here and so did my youngest who is 5 years old - he had a salted caramel body wrap and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have spa treatments quite a bit and I must say had one of the best messages to date. Thank you Alexandria and Georgia. Elounda is around a 30 min stroll away where you can get the boat to Spinalonga and lovely restaurants on the harbour. We have had a really lovely week and every member of staff here has been so friendly and helpful. If your looking for luxury and privacy this is the place for you. It’s not the biggest of hotels however when you come back through the gates after being out it really does feel like your back home. I work for a Luxury Tour operator and I must say this is one of the best European hotels we have stayed in for quality and service. Superb hotel and spa, with staff who bend over backwards to make you feel relaxed. Nothing is too much trouble. And everyone goes out of their way to ensure you have a lovely holiday. Two highlights - (apart from the brilliant staff) - breakfast; an opportunity to taste all the delights of Crete. The spa - a fabulous massage by Alexandra and Georgia.

Wonderful resort team, and a relaxing break

We have just returned from a week at Elounda Gulf Villas and have nothing but positive things to say about this resort. We chose EGV as we wanted a relaxing break and a bit of a special location to finish off our honeymoon. Covid had dictated a brief minimoon in the UK during winter, so we really wanted a resort to relax, enjoy our downtime in the sun and feel just a bit special - EGV ticked every box. Firstly, the resorts greatest asset, it's staff. Every single person we had contact with were all exceptionally friendly, polite and tackled every task with a smile and genuine desire to make their guests happy. We had a few issues crop up (albeit nothing out of the ordinary), and they were all dealt with promptly - special thanks to Louise and the team on reception who were nothing short of outstanding all holiday (and for their great tips and advice!) The resort itself is hilly but the Clubcart golf buggies are always quickly available to get you round the resort, and the drivers are helpful and courteous. The rooms and villas are laid out like a village with a lovely feel to the place - once in your villa/room you could be in a private villa in the hills overlooking the beautiful bay (but with all the benefits of reception, housekeeping and restaurant team at the end of the phone when you need them). It is a bit of a walk into town (Elounda) but a nice stroll (25 mins ish), but there is a small supermarket nearby for essentials (ask at reception for directions). The views from the pool suites and Villas are outstanding, and we found that with everything we needed already at EGV we didn't really want to venture far (but there is plenty to do in the area if you want to get out and explore). The half board dining option is well worth taking - we heard there were some great restaurant options in Elounda (or you can venture to the next village along in Plaka as we did one night), but the quality of the food and service at the resort restaurant is outstanding (top tips are the Greek salad, lobster linguini and the crayfish risotto - absolutely delicious!). We ate in 6 out of 7 nights and every single meal was top notch. The bar is also fantastic for a pre-dinner drink as the sun sets (the best Espresso Martinis we've had in a very long time!) The restaurant/bar team went out of their way to look after their guests, nothing was too much trouble for them and the pride they take in their work showed in consistently great food and drinks. An absolute pleasure to be their guests, from start to finish. All in all, a great holiday and highly recommend Elounda Gulf Villas - well done to all and we hope to see you next year ato do it all again!
