Kontokali Bay Resort & Spa is a luxury option for a beachfront holiday on the Kontokali peninsula on the Greek island of Corfu. Corfu is popular with both couples and families for its sandy beaches, traditional villages and nightlife. Surrounded by olive groves and cypress trees, Kontokali Bay Resort & Spa offers scenic views and a relaxed atmosphere. An infinity pool overlooks the Ionian Sea and Gouvia Bay, and the hotel is steps away from Kontokali Beach with its sandy shoreline and clean waters.
Two outdoor pools, one of which is for kids, overlook Kontokali Beach, and a spa offers plenty of opportunity for relaxation with a dry sauna, a whirlpool and a Turkish bath. Massages and beauty treatments are also available. If you're looking to stay active on holiday, Kontokali Bay Resort & Spa has a gym for adults, with rowing machines, treadmills and exercise bikes. The hotel also organises sports and games such as beach volleyball, table tennis and darts to keep you entertained. During the day, children can take part in activities organised by Kontokali Bay Resort & Spa's kids' club. The hotel puts on entertainment in the evenings, including live music and shows. You can also use one of the tennis courts.
The hotel has four restaurants - two buffet and two a la carte. There are also two bars, one of which is on Kontokali Beach. The hotel's main restaurant has a buffet service at breakfast and dinner. For lunch, a self-service selection is offered at the beach taverna and the two a la carte restaurants are open for dinner. The two bars serve refreshments throughout the day and night.
Kontokali Bay is 25m from Kontokali Beach and its sheltered waters. Kontokali village is 1.5km from the hotel and is home to several traditional Greek tavernas serving fresh seafood. Close by in Gouvia, you can see the arches of a former Venetian shipyard and watch the boats at the harbour.
The hotel is a 6km drive from Corfu Town, whose Old Quarter is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you can explore the citadel and cobbled streets or take a boat trip to the colourful marina and bay of Sivota. A daily shuttle bus service is offered by the hotel.
Kontokali Bay Resort & Spa is located on the Kontokali peninsula opposite the Gouvia Bay. Kontokali Beach is a nice sandy beach where sun loungers and umbrellas are included for hotel guests.
Rooms at Kontokali Bay are decorated in neutral tones. All rooms have a balcony or terrace, air conditioning and TV with satellite channels.

Perfect
Simply amazing. As a solo traveller, this was the perfect location for a relaxing break. The location was stunning and plenty of options for giving different views and different areas to sit/chill. The a la carte restaurant provided a serene spot to spend the evening dining away from the crowded buffet area too.
Good family hotel with own beach
Great hotel with friendly and very helpful staff We stayed as family of 4 and had a brilliant time here. It has own small beach, lots of sun beds and umbrellas (palm style) Food was buffet style (breakfast and evening meal) but was surprisingly very good. Drinks are quite expensive, and the road to the hotel needs cleaning up and sorting out. Corfu town close by and taxi ride is about £20 euros each way.
Disappointing for a 5star hotel
I give this hotel 3 stars for staff, private beach and cleanliness. The location is quiet but not too far from Corfu Town, although if using the buses the access road to the hotel is not nice in the dark. On check-in there was a lack of information regarding the hotel & facilities. We found the Hotel App but even that was limited. We managed to reserve seats on a shuttle bus to town through the app, but there was no information about how to get back, so had to ask. The hotel should be promoting this as a useful service. Maybe an information sheet in every room would help. Several reviews praise the spa but we found this was the biggest disappointment during our stay. Couldn't initially find the spa in the hotel so asked at reception and was told it was outside towards the car park and open to 7pm. Turned up at 6pm for a swim only to be told pools close at 6pm! Tried again next day. The ambient air temperature around the pool is quite cool (as was the water temperature) so it was a quick swim and the out to the jacuuzi. Another disappointment. The jacuzzi is not hot - only warm - because it is the size of a small pool. There were 2 saunas, one of which was closed so the remaining one was very busy. The food at breakfast & dinner buffets was generally good but quality seemed to depend on who was cooking it that day. Sometimes the food should have been hotter, but that's a common issue on any buffet. Quite a few dishes were not labelled so not always sure what we ate (yes, we asked but we don't speak Greek and understandably not all staff knew English well enough, so labels would be good). There was always more Italian food than Greek on offer, which was a shame. Our room overlooked the car park and marina which was a pleasant enough view. Balcony was good but room is basic. Beware that the room doors were noisy on closing. We always knew when our neighbours were in/out. Final word- the staff. Everyone was lovely to deal with and a credit to the company, especially the waitresses in the restaurant.
