Sleep Quality

frustratingly dissappointed

We booked this hotel through TUI and have been waiting 2 years (like most other people) to be able to get away on holiday. There are a few things people should know about this holiday through TUI before booking: 1) We had to wait 1.5 hours before we could get into our room. We have NEVER had that before with TUI, and did not expect that in a so-called 5-star resort. 2) None of the A La Carte restaurants are included in the cost of the holiday - not even if you are ALL INCLUSIVE, as we were. I am not just talking about a premium here for a special bottle of wine or for seafood / lobster (as an example) as we have done so before in other TUI ALL INCLUSIVE holidays. I mean everything on the menu had a charge which was extra on top of your already paid ALL INCLUSIVE holiday !! 3) At the bar, there were only a short list of about 6-8 cocktails whcih were included in our ALL INCLUSIVE holiday. Again, I am not talking about premium beers or champagne at an extra charge - pretty much every good cocktail had a cost. The clue is in the title TUI, ALL INCLUSIVE !! 4) When at the bar, or in the restaurant, it was clear there was 'cheap' versions and 'non-cheap' versions of the drinks, for those paying on Half-Board, and for those who were ALL INCLUSIVE. The first question the bar staff asked when you placed an order was "how are you paying?". We have been on a number of TUI ALL INCLUSIVE holidays and never seen such a clear divide between what was included and what you had to pay for. 5) The food generally was average and there wasn't a great deal of choice in terms of meat. Salad, soup and veg was plentiful, but if you don't like lamb or pork 'bits' there wasn't a great choice. Even at that the pork or lamb didn't look to appealing with grisle and bone. The A La Carte options were also very limited (in both restaurants) and seemed to be more to cater for the masses of different cuisines (1 x pasta, 1 x vegie, 1 x meat etc..) rather than specific themed menus you could choose from. Going out to the local restaurants was much better and cheaper!! 6) The hotel is listed as a 5 star. There is no way this is a 5 star hotel and maybe a 3.5 at best. I would say the staff were all very friendly and attentive, the weather was fantastic and the views were absolutely stunning. It was just such a shame for the failings (in my humble opinion) as I have listed above. We paid nearly £4,000 for 2 of us for 2 weeks flying from Aberdeen, and are left very dissapointed with what we got for our money.

Hotel itself was definitely not a 5* but the amazing views from every angle are definitely 5*, loved waking up to that view every morning !! My husband and myself were all inclusive and found the food very good but the alcohol let it down . I had a back operation a few months before going so I had mobility issues but the buggies were there at your call within minutes well done to the buggy drivers they were absolutely amazing and if there was a queue for eating I was told just to go to the front of the queue because I had a crutch ( I never did that because the queue went down fast enough anyway ) . The staff were all amazing but you did have to wait a bit for your drink order, but didn't mind that as we have all been through a pandemic and it's the same over here !! The really bad let down for us was the bed , it was so hard and found the loungers more comfortable lol ! There is a steep hill down to the beach and the buggies don't go down there but we managed it a couple of times with a few breaths in between!! We did love this hotel and the Greek people are so lovely and would return

Sun break in Corfu

Jet 2 got us there on time, but no rooms ready for 3 hours and a very convoluted check in process that has to be done on line. With a bit of persistence we gat our room after 2 hours. There are a lot of steps and uneven paths to get around the hotel. Buffet food is good and a wide variety. Specialist restaurants are extra, even the sandwiches at the beach bar. Pool and beach bars close at 6, far too early given the sun and warmth. Paying extra for a superior room seems hardly worth it. Very tight hallway so that open wardrobe doors make it impossible to access the bathroom. Room and bathroom decor are tired and in need of a re vamp. Staff attitude is varied..many want to continue their conversation rather than serve a customer . Lifts are small and slow, and do not serve all floors and give easy access to pool areas.
