I am vegan and gluten free. It was very difficult to find vegetables. I had beg them to bring me a plate of vegetables (room service only option) and when it came the vegetables were completely black on one side. They brought gluten free bread that was heated in plastic. The manager had brought the bread and I explained I wasn’t eating bread microwaved in plastic and his response was to argue with me. I wouldn’t use “Spa” in the name if you don’t offer health food. The beach was gross, right next to a highway and the water was very cold. Ending on a positive note: The room was clean.

Awful in so many aspects NeverAgain

Poor management overworked staff, bad wifi it was down when we arrived and we were kept waiting for almost an hour without even being offered a refreshment after 7 hours travelling. Ground floor rooms are practically adjacent to the car parking area, smelling of fumes, first night there was such loud noise of a party nearby no basic sound insulation of these expensive looking doors and even though I phoned to ask the hotel before booking if a party or event was scheduled which they denied ! it was ! As on arrival we were I informed that a large wedding party was there which was causing delays (chaos) at reception . We made several complaints as did other hotel guests. The toiled smelled of sewage, on the last day the whole grounds and reception did too, the head waiter utterly rude at breakfast area, rather than wait to have our table set by over rushed small no. Of staff we took cutlery from a nearby table (which was under an aircon hence too drafty) only to be told off as if we were naughty children. The breakfast selection was more that of a 3 star hotel and the coffee undrinkable at breakfast and poor selection of teas, we therefore had to go and spend at the pool bar for a decent coffee. The 2 pools had freezing water because the hotel will not spend to have them heated hence beyond the use of guests none was dipping in. One was quiet the other above a noisy highway. The “private beach” an overpacked small stretch of what looked more like a neglected back yard with pebbles and with blasting loud speakers. A friend visited me to drink and eat at the pool bar and restaurant and it was a humiliating experience, awful. Seeing that the hotel is a recipient of generous public fund handouts from the EU it is shocking that they treat the public who also are visitors of guests as trespassers. The white towels were evidently dirty, most of the time.and the WC stank. The taxis that they order are practically a cartel with rude and intimidating behaviour as was that of a lady taxi driver who was anything but a lady. We are a busy family and we used the hotel as a repute and quick holiday being favoured by the Oct heat in Athens we did not sleep the first night on arrival due to the loud wedding party and the following one due to some drunken yobs shouting on the hotel grounds hence the next day was ruined, the beach was unusable and dirty and the pools too cold to use by anyone. It was not worth its charging rate maybe less than half of it at a push €70.

Beautiful resort but staff not helpful and NOISE until late in the morning from beach bar is outrageous

The resort is beautiful and our view overlooking the beach was stunning. However, I went with a large group from work and we had three days paid for. I added two extra days on and was assured that I would get a discount for those rooms like all my other colleagues, but did not. Also, the last night there was a party on their private beach. We were given no warning. It was so loud we could not sleep despite keeping our balcony doors shut and wearing ear plugs. The base was making the bed shake. Calling up to the desk was a waste of time. They didn't know what time it would end. They didn't have a solution. We paid over £250 for that night and didn't sleep until the party was over at 2AM. We had a full day of travelling the next day and was exhausted. The staff doesn't seem to know what is ever going on. They just say, sorry. That is their response for everything. Too bad...the resort is beautiful.
