Bahia Principe Grand La Romana is a family-friendly All Inclusive resort near the bustling town of San Pedro de MacorÌs on the Dominican Republic's south coast. The hotel is steps from the beach, where you'll find a crescent of white sand and views over the mountainous coastline. The town centre of San Pedro De MacorÌs, with its selection of shops, bars and restaurants, is within driving distance of Bahia Principe Grand La Romana. The hotel has an outdoor pool surrounded by palm trees and decking. There's a separate, shallower pool for kids. If you want to stay active, you can work out at the hotel's gym. There are aerobics and aqua aerobics classes during the day, as well as tennis and basketball courts. You can try your hand at a few rounds of darts, or head to the beach to play volleyball. When you want to relax, you can enjoy a massage or a beauty treatment at the spa, or sit back and unwind in the sauna. The hotel's six bars serve drinks from morning until late. You can enjoy all your meals at the five buffet and a la carte restaurants. The hotel hosts an entertainment programme every day, and also has a nightclub.
Grand Bahia Principe La Romana is 100m from Santana Beach and 12km from San Pedro de MacorÌs, to the east along the coast. Here you can browse the beachfront shops, taste local dishes in the many restaurants on the main square, or explore the complex of caves at Cueva de las Maravillas. At night, the area around the promenade is the focus of the town's lively nightlife scene, with bars serving Dominican rum. Further along the east coast, Isla Catalina and Isla Saona are popular destinations for day trips. Or you can take a day trip to Santo Domingo, the island's vibrant capital city, to see the famous Columbus Lighthouse.
The hotel's main buffet restaurant offers a range of international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and hosts regular theme nights. There's another buffet restaurant where you can enjoy lighter meals and snacks. The three a la carte restaurants serve a selection of seafood dishes and local food.
Children aged 4 to 12 can join in the fun at the hotel's kids' club, with water activities and a mini disco included.
All rooms at Grand Bahia Principe La Romana have a balcony or terrace. You'll also have a TV, safe and a minibar.

Fantastic resort
Firstly i like to say ignore all the bad reviews. Hotel & resort are both wonderful, spotless throughout and staff are amazing and friendly. Rooms are big & spacious, all the amenities you need ( we had beachfront block 2709 which was amazing). Food is plentiful both in buffet & ala carte restaurants, anybody who goes wanting for food just amazes me. Pool & beach facilities great, best of both worlds. Yes the sea is murky but wasnt a problem to us. All bars have plenty of staff and drinks are great, a little tip now and then and they look after you. Don't be hesitant to book the place is amazing....
Good resort
This resort is lovely, lots of palms, trees. The staff, cleaning service were great. The buffet food was good. The New Year Eve was amazing: food and entertainment. The beach is OK, but water in the ocean murky. The rooms need to be renovated. We could not close the bathroom door, the AC in our room did not turn off. We enjoyed our stay with really friendly stuff, delicious food, tasty drinks, and exceptional sunset every day.
AMAZING, get away
1st time here and the resort is amazing. The guest service staff was absolutely great at check in and check out. Buffet food was wonderful. We had an issue with room service food was cold and took 2 hours the first night to get it. Entertainment staff was wonderful and so very friendly. Lobby bar staff was very friendly. Butler( Daniel) was very friendly. Steak house and Italian restaurants were amazingly good. Showers were always hot. Drinks were great! The pool was clean, and rooms were always kept very clean. For our first time at this resort we were very pleased.
