Constantinos The Great Beach Hotel is a 5 star, family-friendly hotel in Protaras, on the eastern coast of Cyprus. It overlooks Vrissiana beach, where you can swim or just relax while admiring spectacular views of the Mediterranean. Fig Tree Bay, with its shallow waters, is 400m away. There's cafes and restaurants lining the beachfront, while if you want to get active, there's a water sports equipment rental service.
Within the hotel's ground there are two outdoor swimming pools and a further indoor option. Little ones who are too young to swim, can splash around in the paddling pool. If you want to be active but remain dry there’s table tennis and a fully equipped gym. Those preferring to unwind can take advantage of the poolside sunbeds or relax in the spa, where you'll find a sauna and a whirlpool.
Constantinos The Great has three bars serving drinks throughout the day and evening. There are two buffet restaurants offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. For a more formal option, choose between a Mediterranean and a Chinese a la carte menu. In the evenings, the hotel puts on entertainment including dance shows, game shows, bingo and quizzes. Children can join in the fun at the kids' disco, while teenagers can chill in the video games area.
Each of the rooms, refurbished in 2018, feature an LCD TV with satellite channels, WiFi, a hair dryer, a safe, mini bar, tea & coffee making facilities and a furnished balcony. Those booking family suites will additionally have a sofa bed and a jacuzzi, along with the ample space you'd expect.
If you choose to dine out you'll find a wide variety of places to eat in the local area, from Brazilian themed steakhouses to British themed pubs. Thanks to the handy nearby bus stop it's easy to get to Waterworld Ayia Napa, with or without a hire car. Here children will love the 18 thrilling rides and attractions. It's also very different to a similarly named attraction in the West Midlands, as it's outside in the Mediterranean sun.
Local buses will also take you to the walled city of Famagusta, with many unique buildings. Othello Castle was the setting for a Shakespeare play. But do note that while Famagusta is internationally recognised as being in the Republic of Cyprus, it's under the control of a de facto TRNC, meaning you will need to take your passport to be allowed in.

Terrible visit
I stayed at this hotel in 2018 and it was amazing however we have just recently come back from Cyprus and I am extremely unhappy with how we were treated by the staff at this hotel especially reception. We weren’t even greeted with hope you have a lovely stay or when we left hope you had a great stay, the worst part of our stay at this hotel was the fact that our hotel room key was given to new people who were staying in the hotel and they walked in as we were getting changed when I rang reception I was made to feel like I was lying which I was disgusted by as you only get one room key which is odd as well. I never got a sorry for the accident just a shut down conversation and that was it. I didn’t feel safe to stay in my room for the rest of the visit. I do feel the staff that work on reception need to smile and be more approachable as when you do go to reception it’s like your in trouble or going to bug them I am sorry but it is there job to represent the hotel and they don’t. The food isn’t great either it’s cold and there isn’t much of a variety. This hotel is very wedding based so it’s like those wedding parties are their priority. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location is amazing and the pool but I won’t be staying here again.
Amazing place
Amazing!!!! been coming over to the same hotel the last 5-6 years now come to same place every year. We have even booked our wedding hear. Mail talk down to the top bar man at the sea breeze kiosk bar Andreas sergiou and his side kick/cook Paul French we have even booked him to run the bar for are wedding. They are both amazing friendly and allways there to help everyone out. bar is allways clean and tidy andreas it wouldn’t be the same with out him 10******* highly recommend this hotel for amazing time for the whole family and friends
surperior hotel
When i arrived at the hotel, the furniture and reception area had the WoW factor with bright fresh, clean furniture and decor. It was amazing. Quick check in and guided to our room by the lovely porter man Elias. Our room was bright and fresh with exquisite views of figtree bay and overlooking a huge pool, with three steps to the beach. At the beach, crystal clear warm waters with only a few rocks. Breakfast was plenty of choice with continental and hot choices for breakfast, even live cooking of omelettes and pancakes, it was delicious. Lunch had hot and cold choices, plenty to choose from. Its ideal for lunch at the hotel. Evening meal had choices of cooked meat, vegetables, potatoes, pasta and themed evening choice. Also a hot and cold deserts selection, cheese and crackers. We went to the spa to retrieve our towels with our towel card and was greeted with a happy smile faces from Adele and Maria who were delight to speak to, gave us a lot of information regarding the hotel and the local area. The sun loungers are truly comfortable, the pool is big enough for everybody, spotless and clean. By the pool there is a pool kiosk with amazing stuff (sorry can't remember everybody names). The housekeeping are constantly moping the floors and wiping sites down, the manager Christos is always available and check in his hotel daily and has a happy professional character. Upon checking out it was swift and easy. All in All it was a pleasant stay at a five star superior hotel. I came with my husband, i will re book with the rest of my family to return. See you next year and thank you!
