This family-friendly hotel is just a stone's throw away from Marlita Beach, on Cyprus’ southeastern coast. Anastasia Beach Hotel boasts indoor, outdoor and kids pools, as well as a spa and gym. If you want to top up your tan, you can relax on a sunlounger with a drink from the poolside bar.
Between May and October, guests get complimentary access to the Aquamarina Waterpark. Here, children and adults can have hours of fun on the seven waterslides, lazy river and pools. If you prefer to stay dry, then maybe you’ll opt to play table tennis, pool, darts or basketball.
A range of delicious dishes are available from the buffet restaurant year round, whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner time. Outside of mealtimes, snacks are available from the poolside bar. In high season you’ll also have the option of sampling some more exotic foods at the a la carte Chinese restaurant.
The air-conditioned rooms feature either a double bed or twin beds, satellite TV, WiFi, a hairdryer, a shaver point, an international electricity outlet, a digital safe box, a mini fridge and tea & coffee making facilities. You will also have your own furnished balcony. The family option additionally has bunk beds for the little guests.
Within Pernera, there are some beautiful sandy beaches, and a wide range of restaurants, with options specialising in seafood, Italian, Greek and Asian cuisine. You can walk along the coastline promenade that stretches from Protaras to Perenera and enjoy a dip along the way.
Cyclops Cave is well worth a visit, and it’s only a 10 minute drive away. This isn’t the famous one referred to in Homer’s Odyssey, but this one is much quieter with fewer visitors. The caves also act as the starting point for a number of scenic coastal hiking trails. If you go a bit further down the shore, you’ll reach Cape Greco National Forest Park, offering further walking opportunities.
Ayia Napa is around a 15 minute drive from Anastasia Beach Hotel. Here, you shouldn’t miss the monastery dating from the 1500s. Lovers of nature will make a beeline for the Thalassa Museum, where you can discover the seafaring history of Cyprus. Currently, it’s the only museum of its kind in the Mediterranean region. Of course, the town is famous for its vibrant nightlife, meaning there’s always something to do here, whatever the time is.
