Elysium sits beside a waterfront promenade on the west coast of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. It's a short drive from the centre of the resort of Paphos, with its open-air cafes, seafront restaurants and late-night bars. The hotel's design reflects traditional Cypriot architecture, with terracotta roofs, shaded balconies and covered terraces. Dotted with palm trees, the hotel's flat gardens run down to the beach. There's an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a sun terrace, where you can relax and enjoy a drink brought to you by the poolside waiter service. Kids have a separate pool where they can splash and play on the water slide.
At Elysium, if you're feeling energetic you can take part in a fitness session, including aerobics and aqua aerobics, or you can have a friendly game of boules, tennis or darts. If it's relaxation you're looking for, the hotel has an adults-only spa with a sauna. Beauty and wellness treatments, including massages and facials, are available and there's a heated indoor pool where you can take a dip. When it comes to food and drink, you'll have a range of options, with five restaurants and three bars to choose from at the hotel. In Paphos, you'll find a range of places to eat and drink, many of them offering sea views.
Elysium is 50m from Elysium beach, which has a sand and pebble shoreline. You can get holiday essentials at the local supermarket, which is 500m away. It's also 2km to the nearest shopping mall, with its international stores and Cypriot boutiques. The hotel is 3km from the centre of Paphos, where you'll find a historic old town with cobbled streets and narrow alleys. There's also a bustling marina with a medieval castle looking out to sea. Further afield, it's 29km to Aphrodite's Rock, which is the mythical birthplace of the Greek goddess of love. It's next to a sandy beach with clear waters that are popular for snorkelling and swimming.
At Elysium, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at the buffet restaurants. You'll find kids' options and theme nights on offer, and there's outdoor seating. The hotel's three a la carte restaurants serve Asian, Italian and Mediterranean dishes. Drinks are available at the three bars from early morning until late at night.
Family-friendly evening entertainment, which often includes live music, is regularly organised at Elysium. Children can join the kids' club and burn off energy at the kids' disco.
