Light lunches are available from Helios Beach Bar and the poolside Adonis, the latter is also open for dinner in the summer. The Palm Tree offers sumptuous à la carte dishes and al fresco dining (when booked in advance, subject to availability).

Three outdoor bars are available in the summer months, Helios, the hotel’s Pool Bar and the Adults Only bar. So wherever you are within the resort, you won’t be far from a cool refreshing drink. The indoor lounge bar is the perfect place to slowly devour a beverage, while admiring the sunset. A more lively end to the day can be sought at Nectar Cocktail Bar with themed nights, dancing and a programme of special events.

Families can take advantage of the interconnecting room options at Athena Beach Hotel. The rooms boast spacious balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows, offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea or gardens. They are equipped with a safety deposit box, satellite TV, an espresso machine, USB sockets and a fridge including complimentary mineral water. The air conditioning is centrally controlled Nov-Apr, with individual controls for the high season. While in the winter months room heating is available.

There are numerous historical sites to visit in Paphos, so make sure you book a long enough stay to see everything. You could spend the best part of a day exploring the Kato Pafos Archaeological Park, an important ancient Greek and Roman city, which is still being excavated. Here you can see mosaics, as well as the remains of temples and theatres. Christians shouldn’t miss St. Paul’s Pillar, dating from 45AD, located on the site where the apostle attempted to convert Paphos from Paganism to Christianity. Things didn’t go as planned at that time but today there are numerous interesting examples of Byzantine churches in the district.
