Olympic Lagoon Resort

Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos boasts a prime coastline location on a Blue Flag beach. Swim in one of the five themed lagoon swimming pools or relax amongst the vast, landscaped tropical gardens. Meanwhile your children can join one of the clubs with activities tailored for their age group, whether they are at nursery or will be taking their GCSEs next year.

To keep fit, challenge your partner to a game of tennis or have a five-a-side football match against another family. The indoor fitness centre offers a complete range of equipment, including state of the art cardio machinery and weights. If you don’t want to exercise alone, join one of the group classes.

Those seeking ultimate relaxation must check out the alluring selection of treatments and massages available at the Spa. Or just make use of the sauna, steam bath and heated indoor swimming pool available to guests.

The Royal Olympic offers a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner serving international cuisine with different theme nights. There’s also a special selection for the kids to enjoy. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Diner provides an American style experience, while there are also Italian and pan-Asian options. Those preferring local Cypriot dishes should book a table under the evening sun at the Captain’s Deck. The Snackeria offers bites and light meals from 10:30 to 18:00 daily.

When you wish to cool off with a drink you will have a choice of five bars, including indoor and outdoor swim-up options. You & Me welcomes accompanied children until 10pm, after which it’s adults only.

Even the smallest rooms are a generous 29m2 and are either big enough for three guests or equipped with a large King Bed for two people. They each have WiFi, air conditioning/heating, a balcony, a digital TV and a safe. Tea & coffee making facilities and bottled mineral water are replenished daily. The family junior suites can sleep up to three children in single or bunk beds, as well as two adults in a separate partitioned area, both areas having their own TV.

There are numerous historical sites to visit in Paphos, so ensure you book a stay long enough to allow you to tick off the many sites, as well as leaving time to relax. You could spend hours exploring the Kato Pafos Archaeological Park, an important ancient Greek and Roman city which still isn’t fully excavated. Here you will see mosaics, as well as the remains of temples and theatres. Christians shouldn’t miss St. Paul’s Pillar, dating from 45AD, located where he attempted to convert Paphos from Paganism to Christianity. For children who aren’t interested in history, there’s a zoo and a waterpark. If you fancy playing a few rounds of golf during your break, you can head to Marios Golf Park, a 9-hole golf course that is 8km north of the hotel.

Simply to best! We returned here in May for our wedding anniversary, we got married here back in 2011. Wow what can I say this place was amazing 11 years ago but now words can not express just how fantastic it is now! Staff, food, drinks all amazing! I’ve never been all inclusive and struggled to find something to eat because there is so much choice. This place is spotless! Constantly being cleaned, The staff are the best we have ever come by and a special thank you to Veronica for serving us so fondly every 20 minutes always with a smile. The entertainment was brilliant, the greatest showman! WOW!! These guys are exceptional. We couldn’t book a table in the Italian restaurant as it was all booked up but a quick chat with customer services and bingo. (Men must wear long trousers) Love the little deli, loved that if you didn’t want a full meal you could pop in for a salad or wrap and many other things! And the ice cream parlour. Yum!! The greats and orchid restaurants, definitely 5 stars for sure! We had room 825 I. The fisherman’s village and I think it was quite possibly the best spot in the whole hotel. I could go on forever, there is just so much to enjoy here. Time to start saving again, we will definitely be coming back. Thank you again Olympic Lagoon for having us. Outstanding!! Definitely more than a five star!!

Well worth a visit!!

Visited this hotel in June 2022 for a weeks holiday with family. After a delay with flights we arrived at hotel very late to be greeted with friendly staff and nice cold towels! As the all inclusive had ended (due to late timing of arrival) staff had put some food and drinks in our rooms which was nice. Following day after going to collect the pool towels (these can be swapped daily) we were allocated our sun loungers for the whole duration of the holiday. This was such a good idea and no rush to put towels on beds in the morning. Loads of kids inflatables around the pools for all to use which was great too. Rooms were great and lovely and clean, beds rather soft though! We took a load of travel adapters but didn't realise that these weren't required in this hotel and normal uk plugs work! On arrival we weren't notified that not all the restaurants arent open daily so missed out on a couple of bookings. Italian is adults only and men have to wear trousers so handy to know in advance to make sure you take them! Entertainment in this hotel was great and kids loved it although late timings. Entertainment staff were so good and engaging and like no other shows I have seen in these type of resorts. Would have loved to see a longer kids mini disco etc but mine were happy with the evening shows as well. Snack bars by the pool were great and kids loved visiting frequently! Such a wide variety of sandwiches/salads there too. Bars always had speedy service and very attentive. Great choice of drinks on the all inclusive menu. My eldest is dairy intolerant so it would have been nice for the ice cream parlour to have more to cater for this intolerance. Kids loved the buffet and loved the fact there is a lower kids area as they felt more independent helping themselves. WiFi in rooms was OK signal but by the pool area it wasn't great and was intermittent. Shop on site was really reasonable price and have loads to offer in a small space! Lazy river could do with a smaller float for littler kids as my 6 year old (who is tall) kept slipping out which was rather annoying. Our return flight home wasn't until the evening so we paid to keep one of the rooms until 7pm which was well worth it as check out was supposed to be midday. This hotel really was amazing and would thoroughly recommend to families and couples.

Fabulous Stay

Travelled with my family including my 2 sons 21 and 19. Hotel is beautiful and the staff are exceptionally good and focussed on ensuring guests have a great stay. The food was excellent in all restaurants and the main buffet restaurant was very good and offered inside and outside dining. The hotel offered something for all ages. Allocated sunbeds made a huge difference to our stay and the location of our room was fab. We stayed in rooms 404 and 408 which were superior rooms with private garden and pool view. The garden area include a table with 4 chairs plus 2 sunbeds. Highly recommend upgrading to these rooms. We did contemplate booking the Fisherman’s Village which whilst looked beautiful for our family I’m glad we booked the pool and private garden rooms as were a few steps away from pool, pool bar and the main terrace area and reception. The hotel is very popular for weddings and naturally with that comes with large parties travelling together.I loved seeing the wedding parties all ready for the big day and the hotel did cater very well for weddings. Location wise was a 5 minute walk to Landa Beach and no more than 10/15 minute walk to Nissi beach if turning left out of hotel and if you turned right 10 minute walk to Makronissos Beach. All were beautiful beaches. Nissi is obviously the busiest but we enjoyed our day there and based ourselves near to Nissi Beach Bar. Overall we loved our stay at Olympic Lagoon Ayia Napa and as we have also stayed in Olympic Lagoon Paphos which was also excellent we enjoyed Ayia Napa the most. Would definitely recommend. We booked with Jet 2 who were very good and the rep was in the reception most mornings. We also saw the Tui rep in reception a few times too.
