Osejava is a modern hotel in the heart of Makarska, on Croatia's Dalmatian coast between Split and Dubrovnik. It's popular with adults travelling without children. Osejava has an outdoor swimming pool area and a sun terrace where you can relax. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, so you can stay in touch with friends and family back at home during your stay. The hotel has two restaurants, one of which has a terrace overlooking the ocean. It also has a cafe and a bar that serve a range of drinks and snacks throughout the day. There's a small pebbly beach a short stroll away from the hotel, but if you want to go to a bigger beach, you can walk a bit further along the promenade. From the outdoor seating, you'll be able to watch the boats moving in and around the harbour. Due to the bustling nature of the resort, it can get quite noisy during the evenings, particularly between July and August. If you fancy trying some typical Croatian cuisine, there are plenty of restaurants in the resort. Makarska's open-air market, shops, cafes and ice cream parlours are all within walking distance of the hotel, too.
A small pebbly beach can be found directly in front of the hotel, a short walk of 100m down the boardwalk. The main centre of Makarska is 200m away from Osejava. It's a busy town filled with places to eat, drink and shop. There are also cultural activities on offer in the area. If you're interested in art, you can visit some of the galleries in the area, such as Antun Gojak. To learn about local history, there's a 500-year-old Franciscan monastery. If you fancy sightseeing and exploring, you can take a trip to Biokovo Mountain and the Nature Park Biokovo.
Osajeva has a buffet restaurant, open for breakfast and dinner, which has a terrace with a view of the sea. The hotel's second restaurant serves a small ‡ la carte menu for lunch or dinner. There's also a bar which offers a selection of soft and alcoholic drinks.
You can swim in the outdoor pool area or relax and enjoy the views of the harbour. The small privately owned spa offers various beauty treatments.
Rooms are designed in a contemporary style, with dimmed glass that divides the bedrooms and bathrooms. All rooms have a TV with satellite channels.

A Gem on the Dalmatian Coast
We loved this hotel and it’s location. Right at the far end of the harbour in Makarska and next to the old town it was a couple of days before we realised there was more to Makarska than that. The room was a good size and, despite not booking a balcony we were given one with a view over the pool and a sea view slither. The bathroom was generous with the shower over the bath. The hotel was very quiet (except for the last day when a group of teenage athletes came to stay and took over the pool and the restaurant with their high jinks and enthusiastic chatter). The staff were friendly and obliged me with a kettle without fuss or charge. We were on half board and the breakfast was plentiful with a good range of hot and cold - eggs, sausages, cereals, meats, cheeses, fruits and yogurts. The dinner choices were plentiful and tasty and varied quite well across the week but it was a little uninspiring, served in a buffet style. Although two nights we were treated to out of this world food in a different on site restaurant and had the best steak either of us has ever eaten. I’d definitely stay again as the hotel has a charming boutique and non touristy feel.
Immaculate hotel
The hotel is perfectly situated in the bay, we had a port facing room with a French balcony which I recommend. The hotel is immaculate and to is the service. Breakfast is delicious, with all fresh food that looks impressive and once again immaculately presented.
excellent hotel
This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The rooms are a good size, with excellent views, they are clean and have very good facilities. The hotel itself is well situated with excellent restaurants. Reception staff are very knowledgeable and helpful especially Andrea. Superb variety at breakfast especially freshly cooked eggs. Staff in all departments are excellent and very friendly.
