I would recommend this Hotel,we add Al-inclusive very good, but you should avoid there school holidays to many children, pool very small particularly when Hotel is full, sea swimming clean clear water, you will need feet protection to enter water, food excelent and good choice, Hotel itself very clean and comforable beds, lifts in main block, staff very attentive, to reach island is a 2 hour ferry trip from Split, transfer from Hav-port to Hotel 20 mins.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The Good : There is no doubt this hotel is set in an idyllic location. The views and the tranquility are amazing. The quality of the food, the freshness, the presentation in the restaurant and the choices available are to be commended. The cleanliness of the public areas and rooms are outstanding and the helpfulness of the staff is good. The Bad: If you are unfortunate enough to stay in Block B - there is no elevator. Carrying our suitcases from Reception - from which you have to go down steps followed by mores steps followed by carrying luggage up 2 flights of stairs as there are no porters available, resulted in me injuring my back on the first day. There followed two trips to the on site physio/masseur/a trip to the pharmacy (a taxi ride away) for strong pain killers and booking more physiotherapy on my return to the UK. Quite an expense. The Manager did offer us another room on the ground floor - but too late. The rooms are very small and basic - think Premier Inn. The entrance to Block B is also where maintenance work is carried out - not the most attractive sight. The Swimming pool is very small for the size of the hotel and there are not enough sunbeds when the hotel is full. Many families sitting around on the concrete or what little grassed areas there are. There is some construction work going on near the hotel to be aware of too. The Ugly: Littered around the site are old poles/signs/rubble/parasol stands. There is a small attractive maintained garden area but outside Block B there is just weeds and scrubland with no thought of landscaping to try and make it more attractive. Because the grounds are set amongst pine trees it would be help if the paved area near to the sea where there are sunbeds where swept just once in a while. We did not have a bad holiday - just not the best. Swimming in the sea is warm and very therapeutic and the scenery is stunning. I think my views have been clouded by injuring my back the first day and there are many steps - I would not recommend this hotel for anybody with walking difficulty or small children. A couple of tips if you do decide to go - if you like English tea - take tea bags - bear in mind Block B has sensational views but no elevator and there are a lot of steps within the complex. If you are aware of these points before you go - I'm sure you will have a good time as it is certainly is a beautiful part of Croatia.
