Hotel Las Aguilas is in the mountains in Tenerife, inland from the old harbour town of Puerto de la Cruz, Spain. Its hillside setting gives you views across the sea, town and mountains. The hotel has mature gardens and sun terraces surrounding two outdoor swimming pools, one of which is heated in the winter. Children can enjoy their own separate, shallower pool. The hotel hosts live entertainment, which is suitable for all the family and typically includes live music and quizzes. There's also a disco for kids. The hotel has a restaurant and a daytime snack bar, and there's a show bar in the evenings. There's Wi-Fi in the lobby area. If you want to explore more of the island, you can arrange car rental through the hotel. The hotel is a short drive from the coast and centre where you'll find Tenerife's famous volcanic-black sand beaches, botanical gardens and old harbour. The pitch and putt course at La Rosaleda Golf Club is a short drive from Hotel Las Aguilas, and has views across the Orotava Valley and the coast. You can also take a trip inland to visit the Teide National Park or spend a day at port city of Santa Cruz, the island's capital.
The hotel is 3km away from Puerto de la Cruz. The old part of town has narrow streets, squares and subtropical gardens. You can visit the cafÈs in Plaza del Charco, or stroll to the old fishing harbour. The seawater pool complex at Lago Marti·nez has seven pools, gardens and places to eat, drink and relax. Puerto de la Cruz also has a choice of beaches, including Playa Jardin and Playa Martianez. Mount Teide, the island's highest peak, is 41km from Puerto de la Cruz. You can take the cable car ride for panoramic views of Tenerife, or simply walk along one of Teide National Park's many trails.
The buffet restaurant at Hotel Las Aguilas is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and offers international cuisine. There are two bars at the hotel, including a snack bar. If you want to prepare your own food in your kitchenette, the shops of Puerto de la Cruz are a short drive away.
Hotel Las Aguilas runs a kids' club for children aged 4-12. The hotel has a tennis court, and there's also table tennis, darts and a pool table.
The irregular pool is climatised to 24 degrees in winter
The rooms have a balcony or terrace. Inside there's air conditioning, a TV and an indoor dining area. The kitchenette has a hot plate and a fridge.

Bad experience
Our visit in the hotel was not good at all. Unfortunately from the beginning staff included reception and the management of the hotel make problems with our stay. Not information was provided to us a specially we was travelling with little baby. The manager of the hotel is not good at helping. Because he don't want to. Don't understand why he is a manager. Staff isn't trained what is provided problems to guests. If you have option choose different hotel
Lovely holiday
First impression of the hotel staff was great. I arrived at the hotel after 10pm & was advised that they had set aside a cold dinner for me in the restaurant (I had booked all inclusive). My room was clean and had a pool/sea view with an incredibly large balcony. I did notice that I could hear noise from other rooms, but it was not too intrusive. I found the selection of food available at breakfast, lunch & dinner very good & enjoyed the cocktails & snacks available at the pool bar. Views from the hotel are amazing & there is a shuttle bus that takes you into Puerto de la Cruz. I did find that the drop off & collection points varied, so best to check with the bus driver. Overall a great stay
This hotel it is absolutely a pass!
The only positive side I can say about this hotel is the location because you have a beautiful panorama over a part of the island. We booked a room with the sea view. Its size was pretty good. The cleaning ladies are trying their best and are friendly… That’s about all with the positive feedback. The noise from the other neighbours from next door or from upstairs is continuous, also from the people outside or at the pool. You can hear everything like they are next to you in the room. The beds are so uncomfortable and the pillows are a real joke. They are thin and long, like the wind protections you put in winter at the windows. The TV is maybe from 1980 the size of a microwave. The pool was always empty, no one dared to get into the freezing water ( heated water is still a foreign word for the hotel management). The food at the restaurant is the worst we had in our lives. Although we bought a half board, we only went to breakfast and dinner maybe 3-4 times in 10 days. Luckily we rented a car to go and eat outside this place otherwise it would have clearly been the worst holiday ever. The food quality is really bad and always the same. The coffee, the milk taste horrible. The juices have colour only, not taste at all as they’ve been diluted with water to extreme. The meat is tasteless. All in all, our opinion about this hotel is that it hasn’t seen any investment in the last 20 years and is lacking so much.
