Green Garden Eco Resort

Located between Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas, Green Garden boasts a quieter location that’s still close to Tenerife’s main attractions. The resort is made up of over 120 villas, with some specially adapted for families with young children (0-8 years). Unlike at other hotels little guests are welcome at the spa, with ‘mini treatments’ on offer. Here, you’ll find a Turkish bath, sensation showers and a Jacuzzi®.

Activities for the children are led by Panda, who will become their best friend as he leads them in songs, games and activities. The kids will be able to get stuck into arts, crafts, treasure hunts, playing pirates and much more. Once a week there’s a foam party featuring an inflatable dolphin and a barbecue.

Breakfast can be enjoyed al fresco, in the shade of palm trees. For your second meal of the day choose between salads, barbecued food and fresh paella. Evening meals are themed, so you could be tucking into local Canarian food one night, followed by Mexican or Italian the next. The pan-Asian night is one not to miss, as the selection of sushi will be plentiful. Snacks and drinks are also on offer daily from 11am to 11pm.

The one bed and two bed villas are both available with or without a private pool. Whichever type you choose, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a comfy sofa and TV. The option with a second bedroom also has a Balinese bed on the terrace.

The Family Kids’ Villas are designed for clans who have little ones aged up to 8. These feature a children’s bedroom with an array of toys and books. In the bathroom you’ll find bath toys, a non-slip mat, a potty and a children’s step. On request, the hotel will provide a bottle steriliser, hand blender, high chairs, cots, a baby changing table and bed safety rails. For a surcharge baby monitors are also available.

Green Garden boasts an outdoor gym, as well as organising yoga classes and personal trainer sessions. As a cycle friendly hotel, you’ll be able to rent a bike or maintain your own onsite. Plus the hotel has recommended cycling routes, allowing you to explore Tenerife the environmentally friendly way, while keeping fit at the same time.

The jungle themed Siam Park, a favourite with children, is just a 1.5km walk, cycle or drive from Green Garden. From the harbour (3km away) you can hop on a boat to explore the coastline – if you’re lucky, you may spot a pod of dolphins or a whale. The hotel is under 5km from the monkey park and the nearest golf course is literally next door.

The resort’s green credentials include no single-use plastics, charging points for electric vehicles and only using biodegradable straws.
