Stayed here January 2023. Two adults in our 30's and an almost 3 year old. We stayed self catering. I was really worried after reading the latest reviews which after being there I honestly don't understand. Hotel was lovely. Room was very large, very clean. There was a mix up with our room which was resolved straight away. All staff were helpful Travel cot provided was very clean also. Only real complaint was that there was no toaster or cereal bowls for a self catering holiday. Location was great for us as it was very quiet in the evening for daughter to sleep and we had a car so could drive down to the main strip. We ate the all inclusive buffet the first night (paid extra) and I thought there was plenty of choice. I personally loved the music around the pool. Pool was large and clean and our daughter loved it. Would stay here again no problem. Though if you like everything on your doorstep this hotel might not be for you but everything you need is walkable.

Not a 4 star hotel

I have been to many 4 star hotels in Spain, and this is our worst experience. The room has dated decor and worn furnitures. But the rooms are big with a nice balcony. The beds are comfortable. We have half board, and the breakfast is ok. But no frehs fruit (only frozen fruits), no cured ham/serrano and the french pasteries are not fresh. The dinner is bad. Meat dishes are chewy with bones and pastas are cooked to much. We bought a pizza at the pool bar, and it tasted like a cheap frozen pizza from the supermarket. The pools are nice, but the area is noisy with loud music all day. WIF is poor. The location is in the middel of nowhere. It's a 25-30 minutes walk to the nearst center. Don't recoommend this hotel.

Winter sun - good value- family friendly

We are at Gara suites now- it is our last day - we leave tomorrow. Pease don’t judge this hotel by the awful reviews on here. I booked this hotel as it had a free child place for my 14 year old son. Just before leaving to travel here I read some reviews and was dreading it, it’s safe to say I shouldn’t have worries. We arrived and checked in within 10 minutes- the staff on the reception desk were very friendly. Our room is overlooking the pool , and is very nice. Dated decor yes but very very clean. Our room has been cleaned and towels changed every day. The restaurant is nice and always something to eat. We also have a 6 month baby with us, and the cot is lovely and clean. We are half board. Breakfast is good, omelettes made fresh , lots of hot and cold selections, fruit, yoghurt, porridge etc… dinner, again always something to eat lots of salads, soups, bread rolls, and the hot food is fine. Desserts are good lots of little cakes, ice cream and fruit. The pool area is lovely and clean, they jet wash the pool area every morning. Only half of the pool side seems to get the sun - so I can imagine in the busier months this will be busy! I asked for extra pillows and bedding for my son one day at reception- it was at our room in under 10 minutes. The walk to town is about 12 minutes- we had a 14 year old and a baby in a pram. We walked to and from the beach every day. Going to the beach is downhill- it’s basically one road with pavement. We like walking especially when it’s sunny so this walk was not a problem. Coming back up took about 15 mins as it’s uphill but my legs are looking good for it! So honestly do not worry- this hotel is really nice. Judge for yourself and don’t read too many of the bad reviews. I’m glad we came and I would definitely stay here again.
