Sitting on Tenerife's south coast, Lagos de Fanabe is an apartment-style hotel near Playa de las Americas. It has three outdoor swimming pools and a smaller pool for children. You can dine at the hotel's buffet restaurant or book a table at the a la carte restaurant, which serves Italian cuisine. The building has a whitewashed exterior and a traditional terracotta tiled roof, along with a double-height glass archway leading into the lobby. Rooms have whitewashed walls with matching bedding and floor tiles. You'll be able to use the facilities at the neighbouring hotel, Los Olivos, which has swimming pools, a golf course and gently sloping gardens. During your stay at Lagos de Fanabe, you could spend long, lazy days on the roof terrace, where you'll have views of the hotel's swimming pool and the Atlantic Ocean. It's a short stroll to Plaza del Duque, with its mixture of high street and souvenir shops, along with a range of restaurants, bars and cafes. You'll be within a short drive of the local water park, where you'll find a floating island, slides and poolside cabanas amid the palm trees.
Lagos de Fanabe is 200m from the sandy shores of Playa de Fanabe, where you can paddle in the shallow waters or wander along the promenade. You'll find bars and restaurants by the beach, along with souvenir shops. The central Fanabe Plaza shopping centre is 400m away. If you fancy a night out, you'll be 4.5km from Playa de las Americas, with its bars, nightclubs and cabarets. Further afield, you can take a day trip to Mount Teide, where you'll find the world's third highest volcano. You could take the cable car journey up the mountainside, where you'll be able to see across the rocky terrain of the Teide national park.
You can enjoy local and international cuisine at the buffet restaurant, which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also dine at the a la carte restaurant. Between meals, there are light dishes and snacks at the beach club. You can order drinks at the pool bar.
You could play a game of pool, relax in the whirlpool or keep fit at the gym.
Lagos de Fanabe has two lovely pool areas with three pools. The heated pool's water flows into the other two pools and they keep a temperature lower than the heated ones. There is also a separate sun terrace on one of the roofs, with sun beds. On the beach you will find the hotel's beach bar, where you can also rent sun beds and bali beds.
All the hotel's rooms have a kitchenette with hot plates, an oven and a microwave, plus a dining area. They also come with air conditioning and Wi-Fi.

Very nice complex, close to the beach yet in a quiet location. Not vegetarian friendly.
The complex is very nice - laid out like a small Spanish village. The apartment was spacious and well appointed. Nice to be on upper floor. Pool was heated, but still a bit cold. Gym was pretty basic but OK. The self - service restaurant was a bit like an up market staff canteen, always plenty of food on offer and the standard was average. My main complaint was the fact that as a vegetarian, there was no veggie main course option ( unless you count cauliflower cheese on 2 nights) so I was limited to having a cheese salad most evenings. I did complain about the fact that I was paying for half board but there was nothing there that I could eat. The sympathetic lady in reception told me that I should ask the chef to cook me something vegetarian. I did try this once, but it took time to get to speak to the chef, to see what he could cook and then wait for it to be cooked, by which time my husband had finished his meal. I didn't bother for the rest of our stay. It would have been fine if just one main meal offered was vegetarian.
Nice place.
It is a place where you can de-stress completely, the staff is very helpful and friendly. Very well located near you with everything you need, the place offers you maximum peace. Very good food with taste.
First Class Location
Stayed here for 15 days on All Inclusive basis in Dec/January the location is just wonderful located overlooking Fanabe beach and has its own beach bar with sun beds, drinks and beds being free for All Inclusive guests. The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful designed like a mini Venice with pools and sun beds running all through the resort but be aware of early sun bed pirates putting towels on beds from early mornings the management do nothing to stop this even though there are signs forbidding this. Our room was a one bed apartment over looking the main pool and was really nice No 2102. We stayed on the All Inclusive Basis which in retrospect we would not have done so as the vast percentage of guests were on B&B only and either self catered or used the many quality restaurants in the area. The food was what you would expect from a 4 star hotel offering buffet style food so do not expect gourmet quality however there was always something on offer to satisfy modest expectations and breakfast selection was very good though a bit repetitive after a 2 week stay. The resort staff were really excellent very friendly and professional room cleaning was carried out every day along with change of towels and bedding and any issues raised were attended to swiftly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely consider rebooking in the future.
