Oceano Apartments is an apartment hotel in Costa Teguise, a popular resort in Lanzarote. This Spanish island is known for its sandy beaches and volcanic landscapes. The hotel is steps from Los Charcos beach and provides a base from which you can explore the immediate area as well as the other attractions the island has to offer. The hotel is in the Mediterranean style, with white buildings and palm trees dotted around. It has an outdoor pool where you can take a dip to start the day, perhaps stretching out in the sun for a while afterwards. When you get thirsty, you can visit the hotel's bar. When it's time to venture out, you'll find a lot to keep you busy in the surrounding area, including several bars and clubs. You could head to Arrecife, which has a lagoon, a beach and a marina, or visit Nazaret, also within driving distance, where you can visit a house carved into the rock face that was briefly owned by the film star Omar Sharif. For a day trip, you could drive north to the Mirador del Rio, where you can see volcanic lava flowing into the sea and view Isla Graciosa, the island opposite.
Oceano is in a flat area in the heart of Costa Teguise. In the area surrounding the hotel, there's a wide range of shops and boutiques where you could pick up souvenirs from your trip. Los Charcos beach is 150m away, and there's a second beach a similar distance in the opposite direction. If you fancy a round of golf during your holiday, you could head to the club that's 3km away. You could also visit Arrecife, the island's capital city. Here you can wander along the promenade, have a dip in the sea and try some locally caught produce in a seafood restaurant.
There's a supermarket 100m from the hotel where you can buy ingredients to make meals. All apartments at Oceano have dining areas for you to sit down and eat in. If you want to eat out, you could go to one of the many tapas bars and restaurants in the streets nearby.
A short drive away from Oceano, there's a water park you could take the children. It has many slides, as well as paintball and a restaurant.
Apartments at Oceano come with hotplates fridges and ovens, so you can prepare your own meals. They also have fans and TVs with satellite channels.

So Wanted To Give This 5 Stars
I've written a lot of reviews over the last ten years which have covered many countries and types of accommodation. My partner and I had been to Costa Teguise once before in July 2021 when Covid was still a factor. We staying in the Grande Hotel on a half board basis. On this occasion we were going for a lot longer time. 29 nights in total which was to benefit from cheaper flight cost before and after Christmas and New Year. The Oceano Apartments can be missed if you were not looking out for it as it is wedged between the Aloe Vera Shop on one side and a gift shop on the other. Behind the sliding doors in a lovely little adults only resort which has so many attributes for the amount you pay I can truly say it was one of the best value for money holidays I had been on. There are some downsides but if you can cope with those then you will have a good time. The good points are as follows: Location - it has one of the best locations within Costa Teguise with so much of the town within very short walks - Chinese restaurant - 50 yards to the right; Indian restaurant 80 yards to the left; Italian - 60 years to the right etc etc. Costa Teguise is also relatively flat, sure, there are slopes but most of them are relatively easy to manage. Costa Teguise has lots going on in the evening but not in a brash way so many coastal resorts have to tolerate. Room Size - the one we have was really big with ample space - good cooking facilities if you need them, nice sizes fridge, sofa, table, reasonable balcony but ours had the sunrise and sunset to enjoy, bathroom good with a nice shower and a massive TV albeit at the top of the wall opposite the beds. The TV has 5 UK channels which is good compared to a lot of overseas hotels. Pool & Lounging Area - this was good with sunshine from about 10.30am to 5.30pm (December/January). The enclosed design of the hotel provides an enclosure that keeps the wind at bay as well - although it does not stop it completely. "Debs Diner" - This is a separate enterprise within the hotel based around the pool area with this own terraces with tables and chairs. This is reported about on a separate Trip Advisor report but it is a tremendous asset to the place. WiFi - One of the best strengths I've experienced with no problems covering any device requiring it and providing full strength. Provided free of charge. OK - onto the downsides: The Beds - they may suit a lot of people but not me personally. I'm a big guy and our double bed was made up of two push together single beds however the framework of the beds themselves seems quiet light and the mattresses tend to slide around on the top which on one occasion resulted in my falling out of it! For such a little additional investment in more comfortable bases and mattresses would make this resort almost perfect. No Lifts - The average age profile of the visitors is 40+ so anyone stopping on the second floor (the best floor for views) has a couple of flight to climb up and down which can be a bit breath taking to say the least. Even if one lift was installed that took you to your floor it would be a big bonus. Safes - I really find it annoying when being charged for the use of a safe which is part and parcel of the room you are occupying. The charge here at the moment is 2.50 euros a day which would have added another 72 euros to our room cost. My tip is to make sure one of your cases has a combination lock and put your valuables in that. It is unlikely than anyone would want to abscond with a stolen case with things they don't know they are getting.... Would I stay there again? I probably would but for a shorter length of time unless the bed situation improves. It's location, cost, Debs Diner and other positive benefits outweigh that one main niggle.
Winter Sun ☀️
Our second stay at Oceano, and it was perfect! Apartment clean, comfortable and spacious. All staff very friendly and welcoming. Excellent service as always at Deb's diner. We booked a ground floor grand terrace apartment, and enjoyed relaxing in our own space as the pool area was quite busy during our stay. Will definitely return, central location, lots of Excellent bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, and the weather was beautiful! A big thank you to all the staff at Oceano!
Central Gem !!!
Fabulous central hotel, close to everything, lovely clean rooms, maid service great,on site Debs diner brilliant place to eat,Deb and staff very attentive, nothing too much trouble. We stayed 7 days B&B,1st morning we ate in the empty (us only) dining room, the other mornings we ate at Debs, where we chose food off the menu at no extra cost. We are returning November 2023(already booked),but will going S/C,this hotel is only really a self catering facility. In our opinion after staying at this lovely hotel please book S/C as not value for money the other board options.
