Playa del Inglés is an All Inclusive adults-only hotel in the popular party resort of Playa del Inglés on the south coast of Gran Canaria. The hotel is steps away from the lively Kasbah shopping centre and the nearest beach. The hotel has a sun terrace with two swimming pools that are heated between the months of November and March. There's also a rooftop terrace in two sections, one of which is for nudists, and both of which have whirlpools. From here, you'll have views of the resort and the sea. You can also have some relaxing downtime in the hotel's spa, which has a sauna and a Turkish bath, and offers bookable massages. The hotel has a buffet restaurant and a pool bar. The Kasbah shopping centre, which is right outside the hotel, is an entertainment venue with everything from arcades to live music and buffet lunches. Along its front is a lively strip of bars and restaurants, serving a variety of cuisines from around the world, along with places where you can book excursions and experiences. The beach at Playa del Inglés consists of three kilometres of sand and backs into a colourful waterfront with bars and shops,
Kasbah shopping centre is 50m from the hotel, and the beach is 150m away. Also within walking distance, 1km away, is the Yumbo shopping centre. This massive complex has more than 200 shops, bars, cafés and restaurants for you to enjoy. If you want to spend a day away from the bustle of seafront life, you can visit Roque Nublo. This is a rock standing 80 metres tall on the centre of the island, about 38km away from the hotel, and was created during a volcanic eruption about 4.5 million years ago. You can hike or climb to the top, but it's also reachable by bus or car.
The hotel's buffet restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The main bar is open late and serves soft drinks and local alcohol. The pool bar opens mid-morning and serves light snacks, treats and soft and alcoholic drinks until early evening.
If you want to keep up with your fitness routine during your stay at Playa del Ingles, you can work out in the hotel's outdoor gym.
In addition to the sun terrace around the pool, the hotel also has a rooftop terrace in two sections, one of which is for nudists. In both departments there are sun loungers and jacuzzis.
All of the rooms at Playa del Inglés have a balcony. Inside, you'll have air conditioning, Wi-Fi access and a TV with satellite channels

Great hotel but poor food
I stayed here late Sept. Great hotel but breakfast & dinner were both poor I tried to address it with the management but there was always an excuse and could not see why I was complaining. Being on a celiac & low dairy diet complicated the food issue would love to go to this hotel again but only if I see from reviews that the food has improved.
Great facilities, staff & location, but let down by the food
We visited this hotel in January 2023. We have visited the resort of Playa del Ingles 4 times in 13 months & stayed in budget hotels & hotels comparable to this property ( 4 stars). HL Suites is superbly located & probably the best located hotel we have stayed in ( very close to the promenade / beach & stunning panorama from the roof terrace over maspalomas beach & dunes. The facilities are second to none, with a roof sun terrace which incorporates a bar, jacouzi’s set into the floor of the roof terrace, & a separate nude sun terrace, & a large pool at ground level which doesn’t appear to be used by many. The spa suite is very under publicised but is excellent with an indoor basement pool which incorporates numerous hydro jet & hydrotherapy features, a sauna & steam room, all of which are free to guests. This really is a hidden gem. The rooms are a good size, are well appointed & spotlessly clean & the staff are all very friendly & cannot do enough to help you. On the basis of all of the above, this is probably the nicest hotel that we’ve stayed at in Playa del Ingles. Now unfortunately for the negative. The food for a 4 star establishment was poor. This appears to be a recurrent criticism from guests in reviews going back for quite some time which clearly still hasn’t been adequately addressed. We found the bbq night to be excellent but was only running every third day so we only experienced it once in a weeks stay. The dessert section & cheese board section is also extensive & impressive. The problems stem around the provisions for main meal’s & breakfast. The hot buffet section is quite small & the heat lamps do not keep the food hot, hence expect both cooked breakfasts & main meals to be like warm. There is a grill station where the food quality ( chicken, beef, pork or fish) tends to be much better. However the chefs only cook items to order which leads to a delay of 10-15 minutes in waiting for individual pieces of meat to be cooked. My recommendation to the hotel is to scale back on the cheese board & dessert selection & invest in a larger hot buffet section that actually keeps food hot. Also perhaps the grill station chefs could pre empt demand & cook multiple pieces of meat in anticipation when there is a que for the food. Overall the dining experience was comparable to 2 star hotels that we stayed in previously & it could not compete with food at other 4 star hotels we have stayed at in Playa del Ingles. We had considered upgrading from half board to all inclusive at a cost of 20 euros per day per person, but having experienced the food we decided it was not value for money. We loved the hotels friendliness, cleanliness, location & facilities, but were put off by the poor standard of meals. We would recommend this hotel on a self catering basis at a lower cost but would be undecided if we would return on a half board basis as other 4 star hotels have better food, with much lower prices ( but arguably less attractive facilities). It really is a mixed bag. Please please HL Suites, address the issues with the food & you would undoubtedly be one of the best hotels in Playa del Ingles !
Stunning
Arrived on 5th Jan 2023 for 10 days ,,, fantastic position for everything , we had a sea view room on 8th Floor stunning views of the beach and to the left the centre and views of the mountains . Our room was very large , fridge , tea coffee making enough wardrobe space with hangers also room safe ( 25Euro ) for our stay . Room was serviced everyday and tea/ coffee replenished every day we did visit the Spar shop next to the hotel just to buy some htl milk mini cartons as we didn't like the milk powder . Our holiday we had the all inclusive with Jet 2 , every meal we had was lovely plenty of choice at every meal couldn't ask for more the sweets even more so . The drinks choice was outstanding choice of 5 cocktails , beers. wines . sprits . Every staff member was friendly , happy and helpful very nice atmosphere at the hotel and evening entertainment was very good . The roof sun / bar terrace with hot tubs and sun beds fantastic but so were the pools never any issue at anytime of day getting a sun lounger . Only saw the odd person in the pools which felt warm once you were in them but due to famous winds on the Island it felt a tad chilly getting out . I would like to know how busy it is in the months of June /July / August main season to decide whether to in summer . but for a winter holiday with temps in the upper 70's fantastic Thank you everyone in the hotel
