Great value hotel, with amazing staff
Just returned from a fantastic week's holiday, all inclusive, at this hotel. The location was perfect for our needs, the staff were amazing, so helpful, and dealt with our few issues quickly and efficiently. The rooms are a little tired, and in need of a bit of attention, but don't let that detract from the rest of the experience, they are perfect for two people, every room seems to have a balcony, and they are serviced and cleaned regularly. The selection of food available in the restaurant was superb, with more than enough for even the fussiest of eaters, my only comment is that allergens could be better labelled on the dishes. The staff were efficient, attentive, and friendly, without being over-bearing. Even the outside snack and drinks bar provided great service. Outside facilities, from pools, to sunbeds, were excellent, in good condition, and readily available. The grounds of the hotel are well looked after, and provide a lovely balance between sun traps, and relaxing shaded areas. It should be added that the multitude of cats that live in the grounds of the hotel, are a wonderful additional attraction, and were a talking point for many people. Overall, a great hotel, fantastic, helpful staff, and a great location, what more could you ask for.
Hidden Gem in GC
This is our place to stay whenever we visit GC which we often do. It is located right behind the seaside walks with lovely views of the sea opposite. It is a super clean, no frills hotel; has 3 pools and a jacuzzi. Sauna and massage facilities are also available on the site; so is a reasonably priced shop on the ground floor. For the seniors like us, there is enough room within the hotel to walk after dinner. There is also a large quiet hall with sofas on the ground floor for you to read and relax. Hotel is also family friendly. WiFi is free. Long serving reception, dining hall and bar staff are cheerful. At reception you will meet either Maria, Tatania, Eva, Antonio, or other friendly staff who will check you in for the stay. Our recent stay was from 10/6/22 to 23/6/22 and we took full board for the first time and enjoyed the variety of food and fresh fruit.
Good value 3* hotel,
When we booked we couldn't find any recent reviews and there were negative things said about this hotel. I've spent a week all inclusive there and it was really good value. Not too many Brits there, mainly Spanish and Germans but don't let that put you off. It made a change not to be surrounded by 'Brits abroad'. Rooms - we had a nice room with modern bathroom, granted the room did over look the road but the noise didn't bother us too much. if you're worried, take earplugs. The view at the back isn't too great but we didn't spend much time in the room. The hotel decor could be a bit more modern in places, the lounge bar area, but I wouldn't let that spoil the holiday. Food - if you can't survive on the buffet or the freshly grilled food then there's no hope for you. Granted I love salad and there's plenty of that but there was always something to eat plus if the buffet food is lukewarm there is a microwave to heat it up. Staff- Maybe one or two were a bit slow in serving you and were a bit grumpy but I would have to say that probably 95% of the staff were very friendly and polite and gave good service. Occasionally there was a long queue to get drinks at dinner or at the lounge bar. Entertainment - yes the same guy plays his organ most nights and there's a bit of dancing but you don't have to stay in the hotel every night. Overall I would suggest this is aimed at the older (Spanish?) crowd as there were very few youngsters. Location is on the edge of the resort but almost right on the beach. Granted it is a little walk into the main resort but taxis are 5 euro. If you want to be more centrally located then by all means pay more money and go somewhere else but overall we had a really nice holiday in the sun and enjoyed good food. Bear in mind you are paying for a 3-star hotel not a 5-star hotel and it was great value for money.
