SBH Club Paraiso Playa
991 reviews
SBH Club Paraiso Playa is a family-friendly hotel, near the seaside resort of Esquinzo, on Fuerteventura's volcanic north coast. It's steps away from the sandy shores of Esquinzo beach, where you can swim in the Atlantic waves and sip cocktails at one of the open-air bars. The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools, along with a whirlpool and an indoor pool. When it comes to food and drink, you can take your pick from three bars and a buffet restaurant. They're dotted around the hotel's bright yellow buildings. Decorated in neutral tones, the bedrooms have classic whitewashed walls, terracotta floor tiles and oak-style furniture. They come with patio doors that lead onto a balcony. You'll find gently sloping hotel grounds with palm trees and views across the sea. At SBH Club Paraiso Playa, you can book beauty and wellness treatments, including massages, manicures and pedicures. You'll also be able to use the hotel's Turkish bath and sauna. If you fancy keeping fit, you could try an exercise class, such as aerobics or aqua aerobics. Children can attend the kids' club, where they can take part in arts and crafts, games and sports. There's also a junior club with activities for older children and teenagers.
SBH Club Paraiso Playa is 150m from Esquinzo beach, where you'll be able to explore Fuerteventura's well-known sand dunes. It's 1.2km from the centre of Esquinzo, with its souvenir shops, seaside restaurants and cafÈs. You can pick up holiday essentials at the supermarket, which is 1.5km from the hotel. It's 5km to the former fishing village of Jandia, which is home to a boat-lined harbour and a character-filled Old Town, with traditional Canarian places to eat and drink. You can also explore the Jandia Natural Park, with its mountainous terrain and volcanic landscapes.
You can eat outdoors at the hotel's buffet restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You'll find local drinks, including cocktails, at each of the hotel's three bars. There's also a snack bar, with sandwiches, cakes and ice cream, plus tea and coffee.
At SBH Club Paraiso Playa, you can watch the family-friendly evening entertainment, which often includes live music, shows and dancing. Children can dance at the kids' disco.
All of the rooms at SBH Club Paraiso Playa have air conditioning and a fridge. They also come with Wi-Fi and a TV with satellite channels.

Lovely!
I arrived at this hotel after 6pm when the pool (and pool bar) had closed, the guests had scattered and made the mistake of thinking it was going to be a really boring place to stay. I was so wrong. I quickly realised there is loads more to this hotel than meets the eye. On first glance the layout is so confusing because it’s set into a cliff face. The reception is on floor 6 and the pool is down the lift on floor 2. There’s also a cabaret room with entertainment every night, which I think would be best suited to those with kids. Once you find your way around it’s such a nice place. I had a bottle of champagne waiting for me in my room on arrival and the staff clean your room every day. They even left a long pillow on my bed when they realised I was on my own. The hotel is in quite a secluded area but there’s miles of beach to walk along and a bus that stops right over the road and takes you the rest of the way south to Jandia, which I really recommend if you want a day out - €1.50 each way.
views are spectacular
The hotel with beautiful views. The hotel is not suitable for people with mobility issues, unless you wish to stay at the hotel everyday. There is many steps down to the beach. About hotel, The lady at the reception was very helpful through out our stay. Sadly sauna and hamam didn’t work at the time we were there. Food choice was good. Rooms were clean. Staff bar was also lovely, particularly Sergio always appeared energetic and friendly! The few things that I’d change is animation. Now the guy was fantastic, he is funny and energetic, children loved him and he knows how to get crowd attention. But the ladies, unfortunately lacking of energy, boring…the one at the pool doesn’t know how to make people join, doesn’t look pleasant or exiting, not even likeable…she does like to talk and seems to take a big pride that she speaks few languages, I truly believe she only must of got that job because of that or still have a job because of that. the whole evening entertainment was poor. Also would of been nice to have music by the pool whole day, gives hotel and holiday makers good vibe.
A great family holiday
We have just returned from a week's stay at this hotel as a family with two boys (ages 10 and 12). We had a lovely time. Plenty for the boys to do and the animation team were great at organising games and entertainment. The beach is stunning... Like being in the Caribbean! A few nudists around but we had no issue with that. We took a bus to Morro Jable which was really easy and 12 euros return for all of us. A lovely room with hotel and sea views. Yes the hotel is a bit tired in places but nothing that effected our stay. All staff were extremely polite and friendly and helpful. A good mix of German, Spanish and English guests of all ages. The food was fine for adults but the children struggled as limited kids choices. Plenty of pastries available throughout the day though to keep them full! I would be quite happy to stay here again.
