SBH Taro Beach

Facing the Costa Calma coastline, SBH Taro Beach provides a beachside stay for families, friends or couples. You can walk a few steps from its palm tree-lined pool area and you'll reach the white sands of the beach. The hotel is set in one of Fuerteventura's quieter areas, so you can enjoy a slower pace and peaceful surroundings during your stay. There are views of the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains in the distance provide the backdrop to the hotel's swimming pool. There are two pools here, one shallow enough for children to play in. There's also a kids' club and entertainment six days a week to keep them busy. Adults can enjoy time to themselves in the spa, where massages and beauty treatments such as pedicures, manicures and facials are on offer. For all the family, there's table tennis and beach volleyball. You can enjoy meals in the hotel's buffet restaurant. There's outdoor seating under a pergola, so you'll be able to dine with the sunset in the background. If you'd prefer to head out for the evening, most of Costa Calma's restaurants that are dotted along the seafront or tucked away in the village are a short walk away.

While at SBH Taro Beach, the town's shops are 1.5km away. There are eight shopping centres within the resort of Costa Calma, where you can pick up fashion items as well as souvenirs. There are also bi-weekly markets where you can find handmade souvenirs and jewellery. If you're planning to hire a car, you can take a road trip around the island. At only 60 miles long and 18 miles wide, you can visit anywhere on Fuerteventura in a single day. Drive down long winding roads and enjoy the views of dormant volcanoes, an impressive coastline and massive sand cliffs.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available in the hotel's buffet restaurant. You can choose from an international cuisine as well as additional Spanish or Italian dishes two nights per week. You'll also be able to enjoy drinks throughout the day and into the night from the hotel's three bar options.

You can stay active with aqua aerobics organised by the hotel. For long walks, head to the volcanic nature park on the northern side of Costa Calma.

The rooms each have their own balcony or terrace - some providing views of the sea. They also have a TV, air conditioning and a fridge.
