What’s the weather like in the Middle East in August?
Summer is the hottest time of the year in the Middle East, with temperatures rising to the low-forties in August. You’ll find that most of the indoor facilities such as hotels and shopping malls are very well air-conditioned, which is great when you need a break from the sun.
Geographical influences
Middle East weather in August is very warm, sunny and dry. This is due to the region’s desert climate that brings constant sunshine and high temperatures to the area all year round. For a cultural experience while abroad, head to Abu Dhabi for its beautiful mosques, historical buildings and ancient museums. However, if you want more of a traditional city break with lots of shopping and sightseeing, head to Dubai.
Averages
The average temperature is around 43°C, which makes August one of the hottest months of the year. There are 13 hours of sunshine per day and the humidity is very low at just 12%. If you’re worried about the rain, you don’t need to be. It rarely rains in August and the only thing you should worry about is the sun. Seek shade indoors during the warmest time of the day and don’t forget to use plenty of sunscreen during your stay.
