What’s the weather like in Lesbos in March?

Lesbos weather in March starts to improve towards the end of the month with higher temperatures and longer sunlight hours becoming more consistent. It’s a lot warmer than previous months without being too hot. This makes March a perfect time to visit Lesbos if you want to enjoy a relaxing holiday without busy crowds and too much heat.

    Geographical influences

Lesbos is located in the northern Aegean Sea near the coast of Turkey. It has a similar Mediterranean climate to the other Greek Islands, with long, warm summers and mild winters. During your visit, you can spend days lounging on the beach and taking day trips to some of the island’s best attractions. This includes the Petrified Forest and the healing hot springs of the island. There’s also plenty of historical towns to visit, where you’ll find ancient castles and old crumbling buildings that are waiting to be explored.

    Averages

March has 12 hours of sunshine per day, which is at least two hours more than February. You can expect an average temperature of 13°C, accompanied by humidity levels of 72%. There’s 62mm of rainfall throughout the month, which means there’s a chance you’ll see a shower or two during your stay. However, they’re usually very short and you can pass the time at the museum or with a nice meal at one of the beachfront restaurants near the coast.
