    Rethymnon weather October

What's the weather like in Rethymnon in October?

Rethymnon is a popular destination on the northern shores of Crete, known for its lovely weather and rich history. The Greek island resort has a Mediterranean climate bringing hot, dry summers and mild winters to the region. Although temperatures are cooling down in October, you can still look forward to plenty of warm weather if you visit Rethymnon at this time of year, particularly at the start of the month. The rain does pick up in October though, so you’ll have to be prepared to work around the occasional light shower.

In October, the average temperature in Rethymnon is 19°C, reaching highs of 22°C in the afternoon. With seven hours of sunshine each day it’s usually t-shirt weather, but with an average low of 15°C after dark, you’ll need some warmer layers for evenings out too. Around 50mm of rain’s expected over the course of six days in October, while the Mediterranean Sea’s an inviting 23°C this month, great for swimming and snorkelling.
