What’s the weather like in Cambodia in October?
In October, the southeast Asian country of Cambodia is starting to see more pleasant weather as the rainy season comes to an end and the dry season draws near. After long spells of wet weather, the countryside’s now lush and green, so this is a good month to visit if you’re hiking inland. You can still expect some rain on the coast at this time of year, but rain showers are less frequent.
In the capital Phnom Penh, temperatures reach average highs of 31°C and lows of 23°C in October. Sihanoukville on the southern coast has average highs of 29°C at the start of the month, and lows of 24°C after dark. Meanwhile Siem Reap in the north of Cambodia experiences very similar temperatures, but tends to be drier than the beach resorts at this time of year. At the start of October, the sun sets just before 6pm and rises at 5.55am.
