What's the weather like in Cambodia in July?
Cambodia has two seasons each year, with the dry season lasting from October to April, and the wet season lasting from May to September. July is one of the wettest months in Cambodia, but rain usually falls in short, sharp showers and doesn’t last all day. Although you’ll certainly experience rain at this time of year, the tourist attractions are much quieter making this a good month to visit if you want to avoid the high season crowds.
Averages
In July, the average temperature in Cambodia hovers around 27°C, making this month warm but not unbearably hot. In Phnom Penh, temperatures reach highs of 32°C and lows of 24°C at night, with around 40mm of rain expected over the course of the month. In Siem Reap, temperatures are very similar, with almost a 60% chance of rain each day. If you want to take a swim, the sea’s still balmy at this time of year, making it perfect for snorkelling or trying out water sports.
