Spain uses the euro, the standard currency across much of Europe, so it’s best to get your travel money before you go. You can order cash or a fee-free travel money card through Thomas Cook, often available the next business day. 

While ATMs and exchange bureaus are widely available in Spain, having euros in advance helps you avoid poor rates and extra charges.
