Overall great time!

I recently stayed at this property. While it could use some updating, overall, it is a nice resort. We stayed in the Honeymoon Hideaway Butler Suite with Private Pool. The pool was a bit chilly but we still went in it. We enjoyed having our own patio with lounge chairs and had breakfast on the patio almost every morning. The bed was a bit springy and the frame was too big for the bed, so you had to be careful getting out so as not to smack the back of your legs on it. The bathroom definitely could use some changes. It was a big dingy and could use a good cleaning. There is absolutely zero privacy. The bathroom is small and RIGHT next to the bed. The top half of the door had tilted slats so while you couldn't see anything, you could hear EVERYTHING. There was also no fan in it which couldn't help with the sound and also made it incredibly hot after a shower. The overall property is very clean and I was impressed with the measures taken surrounding COVID. The beach is absolutely beautiful. We were hoping for more local dishes offered at the restaurants, even though a resort like this would cater to what seems the majority prefers (burgers, pasta). Our butlers were Donovan, Marcus and Alex. We didn't deal with Alex much since we mostly had him at night and after dinner we basically turned in. Donovan and Marcus were great. They both brought us awesome drinks while we were on the beach, just showed up with them! Marcus figured out a snag with our private transfer on the way home. Overall, we had a great time. Only giving 4 stars for the issues with the property (bed, bathroom).

Sandals La Toc - first time Sandals experience

Overall service is exceptional! For the most part, you are not nickled and dimed for tips/services (excluding excursions/airport and staff from outside the resort). Sandals staff is friendly and very accommodating. Giving it a 4 out of 5 due to overall accommodations. Our room was not to our expectation. Furniture (dressers/side stands) were noticeably beat up, and unstable. Sliding glass door was missing several screws so would not close/lock completely. Lost power to our room on at least 4 days during 9 day stay, several times a day. Bathroom light and fan working sporadically. Outdoor entry light would come on, then turn off, which made entering at night, on a flight of stairs sketchy at best. Mentioned issues, they were addressed, but keep keep becoming an issue again. Purchased the sundeck suite, but the stucco wall was so high, you could not see the view from while sitting back in chairs or using loungers. Not to mention, every piece of furniture was mismatched, also, outdoor furniture was all metal or plastic and not at all like the solid wood furniture shown throughout the website....Wasn't as luxurious as advertised, and gave the suite an overall cheap appearance. Services issues were were nearly non-exist, except daily room attendant didn't consistently replace complementary items when finished with them, like coffee cups. Otherwise, staff was great. We recommend the splurge of renting a cabana for a day (worth it!), and Samita who was working our cabana was 100% awesome.

Butler Service in Paradise

My wife and I got back from La Toc on Saturday and it was not easy to leave. It was our first Sandals experience and we'll be back. From the moment Titus picked us up to the moment I hugged him (and Shanna and Alden) goodbye they completely elevated the entire experience. They scheduled everything for us, remembered and recalled details that personalized the experience, and waited on us with pleasure. They are true professionals at their craft and dedicate themselves to making sure their clients have the most wonderful time. We loved it. The resort is gorgeous, private, and luxurious. The beach has big, fun waves, and amazing sand. The food was mostly excellent as well. La Toc restaurant was great and Hibachi (Roger is the man) was also excellent, but don't sleep on the sushi place, Soy. Holy smokes...that was the best sushi I've ever had. Bottom line is, even though we splurged for the upgraded room and butler service, the resort itself is fantastic and we will be back. Thanks again to Titus, Alden, and Shanna. You three were spectacular and we can't thank you enough!
