We had a wonderful week's stay at this beautiful hotel. It's in a fantastic position - easy access to the promenade and lido (from swimming pool level) and to the street (from reception level). The grounds and pool area are superb and everywhere is very clean. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a lovely spacious room with great views over the pool and sea. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the evening buffet. Breakfast was fine, the usual fare. It could have been hotter but it was okay. Food in the evening however was poor. There wasn't a great selection which would have been okay if the food had been of good quality but it wasn't. Very often dishes weren't replenished and we had to ask for this to be done. There is a table d'hote restaurant (Deep Blue) which was open on Tuesdays and Fridays. It isn't very well advertised to say the least! When we did swap the evening buffet one night for the table d'hote we were the only ones in the restaurant! The meal was superb. We also swapped dinner for lunches at the pool bar which were very good. We would love to return to this hotel but maybe on a bed and breakfast basis next time.

Nice pool but uncomfortable bed

I stayed for a week in a classic sea view room and found there were some positives but also some negatives. On the plus side the room was spacious including a bathroom with a bath / shower and bidet. I was on the first floor and the view of the sea was great. Daily housekeeping was thorough and towels and bedding replaced as needed. There’s a fridge and on the first day 2 free bottles of water were provided after which you can get your own from one of the local supermarkets. The main negatives of the room was the bed with it being 2 singles pushed together with a very soft bumpy mattress which made for quite an uncomfortable sleep. The walls are quite thin and so I could also hear my neighbours. My room was located above the restaurant so from 7 am there was a lot of noise. So generally the sleep quality was poor. (I didn’t ask to move rooms as I was up early anyway due to the bed). In terms of the other aspects of the hotel the pool area was great and never really busy so you could always get a lounger. Although the water in the pool was cold in November. From the pool area there is direct access to the Promenade walkway which was handy as there are lots of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. There’s a small gym with a techno gym cable station, running machine, rower, bike, leg extension, leg curl and bench but dumbbells only going to 10kg. Breakfast was good with lots of options although there was no dedicated chef making eggs, but these were available as a buffet. Breakfast also felt quite busy but to be expected in a large hotel. The staff were all nice and helpful and tours were available from the front desk. They also printed my PLF for my return flight. Overall the stay was fine but just affected by the sleep quality.

Great stay

Wonderful stay all round, great location Super breakfast and great staff, Shout out to Andrew who helped us out of a tricky situation, and went out of his way to resolve a food allergies problem for us. The Pool area is also a pleasant experience, however the Dinner Buffet is not so hot.
