Dorisol Florasol is an apartment-style hotel in Lido, a coastal resort near Funchal on the south coast of the Portuguese island of Madeira. The hotel is steps away from the Lido swimming pools, a Blue Flag-listed complex home to a solarium and two outdoor pools. It's within walking distance of Lido's promenade, which has many shops, bars and restaurants. Dorisol Florasol has an outdoor swimming pool and a sun terrace with views of the North Atlantic Ocean. There's also a kids' pool for younger guests. The hotel has a restaurant that offers buffet-style meals and serves lunch and dinner from an a la carte menu. All rooms at the hotel come with a kitchenette, so you can prepare and cook at your convenience. You can purchase ingredients and local produce from the shops in Lido and Funchal. If you want to eat out, Lido hosts a number of restaurants that serve Madeiran specialities such as sopa de tomate y cebolla (tomato and onion soup) and espetada (grilled beef marinated in garlic). If you're looking to stay active, you can play pool and table tennis at Dorisol Florasol. There's Wi-Fi throughout communal areas to make sure you stay connected on your holiday.
Dorisol Florasol is 300m from Lido Swimming Complex and 100m from the centre of Lido Resort. The centre of Funchal, the island capital of Madeira, is 2.5km away from the hotel and attracts visitors with its contemporary marina, traditional Madeiran restaurants and colourful botanical garden. Other notable attractions include the 17th century Fort of S„o Tiago and the Gothic Cathedral of Funchal. There's also Museu Quinta das Cruzes, an 18th century villa displaying art, jewellery and ceramics. If you're a lover of nature, you can hike along the clifftops of Cabo Girao or explore Funchal Ecological Park, where people like to go canyoning and abseiling.
