Enotel Quinta do Sol - Adults Only is a modern hotel that offers an adult-exclusive break in natural surroundings. The hotel has a wide view of the sea and the surrounding mountains, while there is a public park just above the hotel. The island's capital of Funchal is also within walking distance, making finding a bar or restaurant for your evenings out easy to do. At the hotel, you'll have the choice of an indoor and outdoor pool, while there is also a beach within walking distance of the hotel, if you'd prefer to feel the sand between your toes. The hotel has its own sauna and steam room for you to relax in, while there's also a neighbouring spa which you'll have access to. There's a gym for keeping up your fitness routine and games to play including pool and table tennis.

The Enotel Quina do Sol is located in a popular area of the resort. The main centre of Funchal is within walking distance, and offers plenty of shops, bars and restaurants for you to choose from. Football fans may be interested in visiting the Cristiano Ronaldo Museum. If you'd like to get out and explore the area further, there is a bus stop just outside of the hotel, giving you easy access to the rest of the island.

The hotel has its own buffet restaurant, open for both breakfast and dinner, which hosts its own theme nights each evening. For lunch and light snacks, the hotel's bar has its own menu.

The hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool to relax in, as well as a sauna and steam room. There's a gym for keeping up your fitness routine, and the hotel hosts live music every night.

All rooms are brightly decorated, with accent colours and mild pastels. Each room has air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi and a TV with satellite channels.

This was our first visit to the Magnolia Hotel having visited Funchal many times.Was a little worried after reading some negative reviews on this site. I needn’t have been concerned, from the moment we were welcomed at reception to the morning we left everything was wonderful. The food at all meals was excellent and particularly enjoyed the lunch which was served a la carte and we were able to enjoy eating on the terrace. Rooms were well equipped, always clean and towels and bedding changed regularly. However, the main reason I would like to return are the kind professional staff who together made our stay special. Christmas 2022 break

Excellently located, close to both the airport and Funchal centre. Reception are incredibly knowledgeable, and professional. Always willing to help, any way they can. We stayed in a superior room, which was worth every penny. We stayed over Christmas and the hotel staff pulled out all of the stops required to make it a magical one. Food was of excellent quality, at all sittings (we stayed all-inclusive). We never found the food to be lukewarm at all, so am unable to agree with other reviewers. The bar service, as ever, was impeccable and a big shout goes to Andre and Jonny, who looked after us day & night. Entertainment was a bit hit & miss but, all in all, this was purely background music as we chatted with other guests. The hotel is spotless and the staff never seem to stop cleaning and it shows! Pools are also very good too. We wouldn’t hesitate to return! Obrigado to all of the staff that made our stay great.

Great staff but some small things let this hotel down

This was my second stay and I wanted to return mainly because of the friendliness of the staff. It’s a fairly small hotel so you’re not anonymous. And the English guests chat and recognise each other from previous years which is nice Flo ( always smiling) , nunu, Johnny, Andre, Erika couldn’t do enough for us. And were friendly and attentive The outside pool was quiet as quite cold but great once in Rooms clean Shower temperamental and I suppose we should have mentioned whilst there - went from cold to scorching without touching anything! (420) I would agree with comments about the luke warm food which spoilt evening dining. Maria ( one of the managers) was delightful but having read both managers responses to reviews, why is there no mention of How you are going to address this issue? And some evenings even when quiet, the restaurant staff were less than attentive seemingly avoiding replenishing our glasses. Rather upsetting to read the Portuguese speakers review about staff making comments on us. Totally agee with some comments about poor entertainment and nowhere to escape to if you don’t like it. I ended up seeking refuge in the pool area! Surely there must be some way to make the reception area more homely and intimate? Sadly the food issues mean that we may look elsewhere in Madeira next year But all the best in 2023 to all the staff
