wrong choice even for short stay

it was short stay just to wait for the flight . situated near by the central part, the hotel is in poor conditions with horrible strange smell and all equipment nearly collapsed ... Breakfast was horrible and the worst coffee i ever got at any hotel in EU . When i asked young receptionist to print out the invoice, he was extremely rude and i was in trouble to provide proper documents to my financial accounting office. The hotel situated near extremely noisy street, there are impossible to get some rest even at night hours.

Excellent location with good public transport 2 minute walk from Pombal square/metro. The staff is helpful and nice, the beds are very good. Being a business area evenings are quiet, but busy restaurant area is 15-20 minute walk or transport. Room was big enough- the only deficiency is the lack of electrical sockets. Being there as tourist we badly needed charging cpapcity for phones/cameras/powerbanks and there were only 2 sockets and none in the bathroom. But all in all it is a very good choice!

Next to Pombal square there is the Nacional Hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. It's a standard 3starer, you should keep that in mind in case of having great expectations. Buffet breakfast is a little bit too simple, but tasty.
