Great location within easy walking distance to the old town and marina. Room small but very clean, with a powerful shower and coffee machine. Cold buffet breakfast but more than adequate with fresh juice, coffee machine, cold meats, fruit, danish pastries, pancakes and toast. Staff all very pleaseant with a special thanks to Andrea, evening receptionist, who gave great advice on where to go and where to eat etc she was very helpful. Room cleaned daily with fresh towels and bedding. Air con was cool at 18 degrees which was essential given the great weather we had.

More Budget than Boutique

Boutique implies small & unique, in fact this is more Budget than Boutique. I was initially given a reasonable room with small balcony. However, as many others have pointed out, the air conditioning cannot be set below 23C. Unfortunately I suffered from intermittent loud noises from the AC all night, even though it was turned off, causing disturbed sleep. The reception was initially not accepting the issue. Eventually, as the hotel was fully booked I was offered the spare disabled access bedroom. This is on the ground floor, with a wet room rather than the standard bathroom. Obviously no balcony & the road & cars are parked literally outside the bedroom window. At least this aircon did not make the noises of the previous room & sleep was less disturbed. The safe in this room was broken as the reset button was missing & the headboard of the bed left a lot to be desired. As the hotel was full, there was no point in over burdoning the reception further. The initial check in took a very long time. The room key failed and I had to join the long check in queue to get it fixed. The breakfast room is small and a time slot has to be booked. Breakfast is very basic, cereals, ham, cheese & breads along with orange and coffee is about it. The local area has a number of small and friendly cafes which proved useful, but there is a rubbish disposal area opposite the hotel entrance, where there was a dumped mattress during my stay. Obviously not much the hotel can do about that, but it isn't a very attractive proposition for hotel guests. The hotel is very much in the budget category and is not one I would return to.

Great chilled out hotel

Great hotel and friendly helpful staff. The hotel is just back from the harbour around 4 minutes walk. There are numerous little bars and restaurants in the area. The place is clean and there is a rooftop area and bar. The continental style breakfast is very good. A selection of cheese and meats are available. I would have personally liked to have had some eggs available. Overall very good and I look forward to visiting again.
