Colina Village is an apartment complex on the outskirts of Carvoeiro, on the southern Portuguese coast. It's a short walk from the apartments to Carvoeiro Beach, tucked away within a bay in the Algarve. You can walk on the sandy beach, sunbathe or take a swim in the Atlantic Ocean. The apartments are set within a tropical garden, offering a relaxing setting in which to relax on the terrace or swim in one of the pools. The complex has two pools within its gardens, as well as an indoor pool if you want to swim out of the sun. For those seeking sporting activity, the hotel has a tennis court. In the evening, Colina Village hosts family-friendly entertainment, and there's also a pool table on site. You can take a short walk or catch the shuttle service to Carvoeiro town and beach. You can wander past the typical Portuguese-style buildings to the beach, or continue up the cliff towards a renowned beauty spot with panoramic views of the town, the bay and the ocean beyond. The town has many markets for you to browse, and several restaurants and bars where you can go for a meal or an evening drink.
Colina Village is 2km from Carvoeiro and Carvoeiro Beach, with several other beaches to visit within a short drive. The area is known for its natural cave formations such as the Benagil Caves. The apartments are 4km from a water park with slides and activities for both adults and children. To take a break from the beaches, you can visit the town of Silves, which is within driving distance of Colina Village heading inland past the town of Lagoa. You can wander its cobbled stone streets and admire its colourful lanes decorated with mosaic patterns. The town has many cafes and museums to visit, and ancient architecture to discover.
Colina Village has an ala carte restaurant offering a range of Portuguese dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The apartment complex also has two bars, one of which is a pool bar, offering drinks and snacks. There are also a few restaurants and bars in Carvoeiro.
Alongside its family-friendly shows, Colina Village provides in-house entertainment for children six times per week. The entertainment typically includes games and quizzes.
The apartments at Colina Village are bright and colourful with modern furnishings. They each come with air conditioning, satellite TV, a fridge and kitchenette.

Lovely relaxing holiday
We had a lovely holiday at Colina village first 2 weeks of October. Our first floor one bedroom apartment was more than adequate large bedroom lounge and very well equipped kitchen nice bathroom and balcony all a little dated but very clean and comfortable. We knew it was a 25 to 30min walk into Carvoeiro the first 10 with no pavement but found it OK facing the on coming traffic we usually got a local taxi or uber back once it was dark costing between 4 and 6/12 euro. Carvoeiro is lovely but quite hilly so not so well suited if you have walking difficulties. The large well stocked supermarket is a 15 walk in the opposite direction again not all with pavement we got a very large shop the customer service desk ordered us a taxi about 5 euro. The restaurant in Colina village is very good, meals as good as the restaurants in the town for quality and price. Beautiful large pool with plenty sunbeds. The receptionist (Pedro i think) was very helpful giving tips for getting about as we found the local bus service disappointing. The road train to Ferragudo was really good and worthwhile.
Please save your money and stay somewhere else
Family with toddlers Grandparents Mum 4 and 2 Yr old. Where to start. Other than to say. Please don't waste your money. Charged about 1000 for a week for 5 people as part of a package with expedia. Wizz return flights were about 1850. Whole hol around 2700. So how the rest of the hol for this accommodation they dare to charge around 1000 for 6 days I've no idea. When you take off the flights and just do accommodation on expedia the same resort is cropping up at 380. So dunno how expedia do the maths. October half term. Weather quite nice but a little rainy. Just wanna say really how we felt like this was the resort that time forgot. You can tell once it was OK. But it's sad and tired now. Unloved. Tennis courts are awfully maintained. Kids playground was really basic. Didn't bother with the restaurant as the room looked quite canteeny and lacking in atmosphere. The lunch was very average. Poorly maintained pavements that my kids fell on and grazed themselves because of loose stones. Loose wired on phone cable. Got locked in bathroom twice by pool and hurt my hand banging to get out as the door lodges shut. So I couldn't get back to protect my kids from water and they only had grandparents when I nipped to loo. No clock. No phone. No bottle opener No hair dryer Zero WiFi. Stayed there 2 nights only. Couldn't bear it. Attached is a pic of their rusty luggage trolley and says it all. Decided to rescue our hol So spent 680 euros on 2 smaller apartments at vitors village. Feragudo. A way nicer vibe than colina village. Smaller maybe but sooooo much more pretty. Def book vitors Tempted to call it colon village not colina Also treacherous stairs in the villa so really unsafe for young kids. No tea coffee or toiletries Not even a complimentary bottle of water. Back garden tired. Indoor pool looks nothing like pics. It feels very germy in there. I'm so glad we moved. Its nothing personal against the staff but my God if I can save one person or a family from wasting money on something substandard then that's something. Also no shop. And very remote. Absolutely not1
Great value for money in a quiet location
Colina Village is set on the outskirts of Carvoeiro approximately 1½ miles from the centre of town. Although there is a tired feel to the apartments they are spacious and clean with a well equipped kitchen for those who want to self-cater. All the staff are friendly; reception, cleaning, waiting and maintenance and the village is beautifully presented with brightly coloured buildings, wonderful gardens with plenty of established trees and shrubs, The swimming pool is an very good size and in pristine condition. There is a well-stocked pool bar as well as a poolside restaurant which is open from breakfast until late evening. For those with mobility issues or young children the location may prove difficult, however it is only a 30 minute walk into the centre of town with plenty of bars and restaurants closer to 20 minutes away on Estrada do Farol (coast road) as well as some on Rua do Barranco (the out road) which is around a 25 minutes walk. There are numerous taxis in town and reception will call one for you if you prefer not to walk. A couple of minor observations were that the hot water is exceedingly hot, so there is danger of scalding if you're not careful. Perhaps a warning notice would help. We opted not to have our towels changed daily but this meant that we had to ask two or three times before having them changed at all. During the course of the two weeks we ate at the restaurant on several occasions, breakfast once, lunch three times and two wonderful evening meals. The meals are freshly prepared and delicious and the food and drink are very reasonably priced. Given that we had a wonderful two weeks for under £450pp including flights I'd say that this was excellent value for money.
