Sleep Quality

Currently sat on sunbed at this beautiful hotel. Visited 8 years ago and said we would come back. An early review I must say, majority of staff lovely friendly people who work very hard, but there is always a few to the exception. Have done preferred club this time and although questioned a few things and reported to lovely helpful people, 5 days later and a few things are still the same. Seems petty to keep asking for the same things that are supposed to be standard. But today cannot believe that a 5 star hotel has no cutlery at the pool side snack bar, this is acceptable if they have run out, no problem what so ever, this happens, just say so, what is not nice is the being passed from pillow to post and back again and no friendliness, then to be totally ignored not by one but by several staff. Not a pleasant experience for something so simple.

We had our wedding here in April 2022. It was everything I could've possibly asked for. From the moment you walk into the resort, the staff is sure to make you feel like royalty (I highly recommend if staying here, choose a preferred room). My wedding coordinator, Paulina...she was amazing! The resort was perfect for my Boho Glam themed Wedding. Couldn't be happier.

Great service, okay wedding experience

I got married at the resort in March, and I just wanted to list out many of the pros and cons for future brides: Cons: - they changed my coordinator the day of my wedding which was very stressful - none of our party got the upgrades that were included in our wedding package (bride& group, parents on both sides) super frustrating, especially as we brought over 70 guests to the resort and spent over 30k on the wedding there... - house keeping threw out 3 bottles of champagne the day of my wedding and tried to gaslight me and say that the bottles were empty - after fighting with them for an hour and half on my wedding night the manager the next day replaced 1 bottle and apologized. the night manager was one of the rudest human beings. - the hair and make up team aren't great but they don't let you bring your own vendors onto the resort. i had to redo my eyeliner and hair both on my trial and day of my wedding. many of my bridal party did not like their make up. there is no place to get ready with the whole party except your room but you have to get the services at the salon... and our room didn't have a door to the bathroom so that was an adjustment. - there is no night life what so ever - the fireworks we paid for during our first dance didn't go off - the dj messed up our first song and we awkwardly had to tell them the correct one and stood there until they fixed it - the cake wasn't what we asked for - had zero decorations as discussed with our planner - we paid a lot of money to bring in our own photographer and videographer from the outside and thank god we did. we used the resort photographer for our bonfire and the pictures were so awful - some nights there are 3 events going on at the same time and the bleed through is awful - the wedding food wasn't great. really hard to have one set menu for all the guests and no choices. upgraded to the gold package and the steak was mostly over cooked for our guests. didn't think that was worth it in hindsight. - food on the resort - the buffet is only good for breakfast omelets, otherwise the food is very dried out - don't go for lunch or dinner. The French and Italian restaurants are the only good places to eat. Oceana was incredibly disappointing. El Patio is alright. Poolside grill is good for burgers while you are at the pool / beach. Cabanas book up really fast. - preferred club not worth it because the hours for the preferred breakfast was super limited with a line to enter - i think that was the only perk. preferred cabanas are not near beach or pool so no one hung out there. salon books up super quick because of covid restrictions so a lot of friends didn't get to do the hydrotherapy included. - nowhere to get drinks after 12 or to hang out - wedding coordinator are helpful for vendors and staff, but not there for your personal timeline / photo shot lists etc so just be mindful of that Pros: -most of the service staff on the resort are amazing - shout out to Alex who was the best for both our wedding night and bonfire - the flower vendor is the best in house vendor - our bouquets and florals were amazing - the security team - especially Moses - is amazing when we had a problem they were super caring and attentive - the resort is super clean and well maintained - pool bar is very fun, but there are people constantly walking around trying to sell you cocaine - Oceana terrace is great area for wedding ceremony - room service is very slow but the wings and fajitas were great Family and friends had a great time overall because where they lacked in food quality and amenities, the service staff really tries hard and caters to their guests. I hope this helps for future brides because I really wish I knew all these details going into this.
