The beach is great and the bars are good. Entertainment staff is excellent. Love Andres big personality and warm and fun. Drink are excellent. Pina Colado is the best at the swim up bar and ictecream bar.
Disappointing at the end ... didn't live up to expectations
We went to this resort to attend a wedding. The food was only average. We were asked to attend sales presentations and were disappointed at the inconsistency of the 'rewards' to attend. Our friends received a much higher amount and when we mentioned this we were told that the other rewards were 'a mistake' and nothing could be done for us. I was also frustrated at the lack of control over the other guests 'saving' their deck chairs with towels and leaving it 'saved' for much of the day without any staff enforcing the rules against such practices. We been to other all-inclusives before and were quite disappointed with the quality of the food at this resort. Plus the fact that our bracelets didn't gain us access to all the neighbouring Iberostars in the complex. Again this seemed inconsistent as our friends were able to get snacks and served with no barriers, but this seemed to vary day to day. Would we go back to this location? probably not. Not sure if we would check out other Iberostars - maybe, it would take some convincing.
Impeccable grounds, great food, fun entertainment. Awesome for families.
We just wrapped a 2-week stay at Paraiso Beach and LOVED it. Family of 4 with kids 6 & 10. Our room was classic, impeccably clean and well situated in building 37. Handy for a family as it’s close to the pool (we’re mostly pool people) and between the breakfast and lunch buffets. Pools are clean and awesome, with perfect temperature, with a great mix of activities in the main section and a large calm area too. Really smart design; you can set up in a new spot each day and feel like you’re in a different place. Beach has seaweed at the edge but they clear a large amount in the mornings. Didn’t really bother us. It was pretty wavy though so we didn’t let the kids play on the waves alone. Also, about 2 metres of large rocks that stretch the better part across the Delmar/Beach/Lindo beach, about 5 meters into the ocean. If you walk down toward the Grand, you can avoid them. We didn’t have water shoes and it wasn’t a problem. The food is excellent. Good quality, fresh, well presented and always lots available. No empty trays (or even partially empty) ever. The hotel’s app is an easy way to find activities and book à la carte restaurants. Works well. Evening entertainment doesn’t include musicals/performances like I’ve seen at other places. Instead, the entertainment team hosts trivia games, karaoke, game shows and more. We were worried they’d be a bit lame but we actually spent almost every night at the theatre to join in the fun!! Star camp (kids club) is awesome. Organized and fun— my daughter didn’t want to leave!! There’s an excellent dive centre on site with top-notch instructors who are highly safety-focused (Dressel Divers). And an amazing perk: free discovery dive in the pool with full equipment. My 10-year old son took the course in the pool and gained knowledge and confidence to try his first dive in the sea. I felt comfortable that he was well prepared and taken care of by the dive team (and I’m a nervous mom so this is saying a lot!!). As often is the case, part of the resort experience is made by its PEOPLE. I want to recognize a few who really made our trip extra special. The buffet team: Sergio. He clearly is passionate about service, making families happy and getting to know the guests. He learned our names and really helped make us feel welcome. Gracias Sergio, we miss you! We also enjoyed the happy spirit and excellent service from Nehemias and Marciano — impossible not to smile when these two gentlemen are at your table! And what is a breakfast without eggs… we loved omelettes and fried eggs made by Fayne. She is quick, efficient, friendly and delightful. Entertainment team: Bravo to Daniel (Dany) and Adrian who are amazing at getting the crowd excited. They have endless energy and are total professionals with the microphone. Special mention to Carolina whose big smiles and help with audience participation in the games. Cleaning: happy to highlight a very special cleaner, Eriqueta, who keeps the Italian restaurant and washroom looking great. She always has a beautiful smile on, every moment of the day.
