Gold Paramus was a nice place . Nice pool, well kept grounds , a little bit older furniture. Good food at hotel restaurant not so much the evening restaurants. Wish we could have eaten all our meal at the hotel restaurant. Won’t leave the resort next time. The excursions were not impressive at all.. Also wish the pool activities were going on all day.

This was our first time visiting the Golden Parnassus. It's a smaller family run resort. Being an older facility, it is in need of work but the staff work tirelessly to keep it clean. The low price charged per night more than offsets the minor quirks of the facility. We had no complaints about our 6th floor room. Our lagoon view had amazing sunsets! The shower was great with good pressure and never a shortage of hot water. The A/C was great too. We talked to many couples who had been back here multiple times. Mostly due to the excellent, friendly and attentive staff. The pool and beach area are great and there was never an issue getting a lounger any time of day. The breakfast and lunch buffet was fantastic with made to order omelettes, waffles and crepes. The A la carte restaurants require no reservations but there was never more than a 5-10 minute wait at the bar before we were called to our table. The pasta with shrimp and pesto sauce was fantastic at the Pier 12 as well as the blackened salmon. The Japanese restaurant serves amazing sushi. The best thing is it's an adults only resort so no screaming little brats running around! We partied at the Sixties Bar and pool bar till 2:00 am a few nights, then hit the Cantina for an amazing hamburger! Overall, a great trip. If you want a 5 star facility then pay double the price and stay somewhere else.

Good vacation experience

Golden Parnarsus was a good choice for the most part. Overall food and drinks were good. Bring you own bottles for water and drink refills. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The pool area fills up quickly so get towels at 8:00AM and get your seat. The beach restaurant has great fried chicken, soda, water and other snack foods. Beds are comfortable. Room is modest and a clean place. Gym is small but comprehensive. The staff is gratefully cleaning constantly thought the resort. Specialty restaurants are good. Get additional drinking water from gym or beach restaurant. Return your arm bracelet, room key, and towel key or you will be charged. No clocks on the premise. Check your devise charger for compatibility with Cancun voltage. Restaurant Paradise is not open every night for dinner, just for snacks, so check the schedule which you will receive upon arrival. WIFI is free now. Paradise is open for breakfast and lunch everyday. The only complaint I have about the hotel itself is the architectural design that has all rooms facing an open atrium with views to the lobby from the hallways. All music performances, singing, bar blender noise, talking, laughing bounces off the walls and travels up to the room. With room door closed, you can't escape the sounds as the acoustics are so loud. The outer Paradise patio carries voices, too. The inner patio is quiet and outside of the spa area are the quietest locations. Lagoon room balcony pretty quiet. Recorded and live beach music is primarily rock and loud. But for the noise factor, I would return here as a good deal in an unpretentious setting.
