Family Visit

The resort is very family oriented. They have many games organized for all to enjoy. For example volleyball, waterpolo, beach volleyball. In the evening they have events for example movie night, mexican folklorico, cuban night and more. Jackie, Victor, Katheryn are great. Very friendly and professional. They have a lot of patience with the children and love playing with the children. The food is great, especially the sushi bar. The wait staff was great. The waiters are very professional Fabi and Alejandra were very attentive.

We intended to dive this whole trip and not spend time on the resort, but the weather kept us in. So we really got to "soak in the experience" over a few days, and let me tell you, it's an experience. Nothing "happened" in particular that would tank this to a 1 star, but this resort has zero redeeming qualities and appears to be managerially neglected in every way possible. Food: The food and drinks are terrible. Bad noodles and questionable looking meat every day. The "sushi bar" is a pretty sad excuse for a perk, with imported alaskan fish, nothing caught locally. Fish was borderline sour. It sits out in the heat all day, with birds stealing fish directly out of the bins. The alcoholic drinks are watered down but full of sugar, so good luck if you're even just looking to drink. Hospitality: The staff do not seem to understand they work at a hotel. Requests for towels were ignored, we were chased down in the hallway to pay for "room service" because we brought a plate outside of the dining hall (they literally took a 5 dollar bill from us at an all inclusive resort for this), you'll wait at a bar for 20+ minutes before getting served. Cleanliness: This I can't be as hard about, but this hotel was not designed to route water and mitigate flooding in any way. It rained most of the time we were there, and water needed to be mopped away constantly. The rooms are also not cleaned in a timely manner, skipping days entirely. Vibe: Parents changing diapers at the pool. Pitbull playing constantly. Three different songs playing at a time. Horrible live music played next to your room at 10pm. People throwing up on tables at the bar, another couple picking fights, people shouting at soccer matches. It's really like a Mexican dive bar with a pool. Avoid this place. Spend a little more somewhere else.
