Horrendous
Unfortunately, we were only able to stay 4 nights out of the 7 we had reserved because the hotel was unfit to live in. Mainly, there was no air conditioning and temperatures rose to 43 degrees with humidity. We opened the window but were met with screaming at all hours of the night and construction in the early morning. This meant that we were only able to sleep for a few hours each night. Regarding the condition of the apartment: - It took 10 minutes to open the door each time because the lock is broken - The building has no security and is open 24/7 to anyone in a busy area - The apartment was dusty, showing that it hadn't been sanitized during a pandemic - Pillows were clearly many years old and extremely uncomfortable to sleep on - Shower was near unusable because of lack of water pressure, it was more like a hose - Kitchen was not properly equipped, without even basic utensils like cutting knives. Kettle was dirty. The requirements for a 3-star hotel are not met, especially considering that our bedding and towels were never changed and the TV cables were cut. Cleanliness is one of the worst offenders, especially considering the times we are living in.
BEWARE
Well iv just returned from Malta..... I read reviews about this place one was trapped between an oven and hell the other was they wouldn't recommend it to somebody they dispised. I thought surely these ppl are being harsh BUT then I arrived. What an absolute dump this place is iv stopped in better hostels for a fraction of the price. The apartment was run down and dirty it smelt of vomit and was absolutely disgusting if you have seen the inbetweeners movie this beat that by a country mile no jokes!!! First night out heads down was woken at 6.30am builders above with a huge crain boom boom boom ppl screaming from the balcony to shut the f up and that wasn't our room. Had to take our trainers to the bathroom as when we walked on the floor our feet were black yes black after 12 hours in the room. There is absolutely nothing good to say about this place we got a move the next day had we nor we would have paid to move. Alpha rooms advertise this with photos of the St George's Park this is blatantly untrue to get to the burlington you have to go to St George's then you are directed to another building down the street opposite the black bull pub up to the 4th floor to do the exact same thing and then get your keys to which the apartments are down the road from that! I want to add we was a group of 6 lads we paid £700 and are not picky but this place was an absolute discharge dirty horrible disgusting place I wouldnt stop here if I was offered it for free BEWARE. Baz
Awful
The reception was our fist challenge, because it doesn't exist in the same building where the apartment is. It is based in another building in the 4th floor. Light doesn't work and no body is available to ask about how this weird system works. It's not even written on a manual about how it works About the kitchen, there are two hot plates that work alternatively which basically means that if one hot plate is working, the other hot plate doesn't and it keeps on exchanging automatically. So I was basically chasing after each hot plate to eat my boiled egg :( Very weak intent signal, so you better use your mobile internet No service and no information about where to go.
