Nice hotel but beware it does not have it's own pool

May 2022 | michelle22cat

The hotel is centrally located with good restaurants and bars nearby. The breakfast is good but can be busy. The rooms are modern and very clean There isn't really a bar area as it is just a few seats near reception. The staff on Reception are great and very helpful. Our disappointment was that based on the tour operator website we thought there was a pool. The reality is that you have to get a pass each day from reception and cross the road The pool is nice but is a very crowded public pool with loud music. It is not suitable for children or older people in my view. In summer you would struggle to get a space. I would stay at the hotel again but just annoyed about the pool.

Would stay again

We have family in Malta and regularly use hotels in Sliema . Ist time for this hotel. The staff were all very helpful and resolved any queries. Our room was on the 11th floor and was large by a lot of hotel rooms, a large double bed and also a settee/bed and 2 chairs as well as ensuite. Really roomy. Nice little touches from room cleaning with shaped towels on replacement. Free safe in room as well and good WIFI. Balcony adequate. All in all a very pleasant stay. A few niggles breakfast was a bit tedious and only fruit salad at the end of the week and would have liked a drawer in the bedroom. Wont stop us rebooking in due course. Handy for buses and the water taxi as well as restaurants.

Modern and clean

We stayed for 3 nights. Staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were modern and housekeeping does a nice job. Beds comfortable. Walls are very thin. Breakfast was fine but man! Can be crowded. I was annoyed bc they wanted me to write down credit card number and expiration on a piece of paper to charge 100 euros per room (we had 2) rather than just hold the amount on a charge on the cc. Who writes down their cc number and expiry on a piece of paper?! Where does that get off to? When I refused. They made me put down 100 euro per room cash as deposit. Huh? Annoying to say the least. Pool was across the street but very nice. Good value for money. But honestly, I would stay in Valletta next time.
