Needs refurbishing and a little dated

The Majestic Palace looks fantastic on the Internet but was a little disappointing in reality. When we arrived it was a hot day and the first thing was the AC it didn't work. My friend asked for a pillow as she only had one and the male receptionist said he would let House keeping know and one would be brought up. It never materialsed so my friend the next night went to house keeping herself and got one. Food was tasty but not huge portions Breakfast was very good. I would recommend just pay for bed and breakfast. The main meals were a little small. It is definitely not a hotel for kids as the pool is 9ft deep across the pool. No shallow end. There is a Michelin star restaurant in the hotel but if you want to eat in it it will cost you €160 per person. Then the wine on top of that I found the room very out dated and in need of refurbishment. Also no courtesy bus into Sorrento. You can walk its about 20 mins at the most but a bus would have been good especially getting back after a trip somewhere. Taxis are so expensive. TThe hotel gardens are lovely with magnolia trees outside our room. We had a balcony but the sun beds outside were broken. This sums it up not terrible but a little neglected.

Won’t go back

Lounge areas, pool and bar all very nice seem to be have been recently refurbished. Rooms we were staying in really needed to be refurbished. The beds where really uncomfortable didn’t sleep at all. Staff were all very nice and helpful but the most disappointing part was the food it was really awful, even though we were half board we ate out at least 4/7 nights. After speaking to some of the other guests they seemed to be really disappointed with the food as well.

Awful hotel tui guests in basement with staff dirty old beds and bathroom avoid at all costs. The manager said that they are stop taking tui guests as tui book the cheapest rooms and charge their guests full price also overcharged on 4 occasions and when pointed out nothing said manager finally apologised for all of them and offered free drink voucher which I did not use and handed in on departure don’t stay there
