Stayed here for 5 nights from March 6th 2023. Cannot fault this lovely gem of a hotel. Perfectly clean, spacious rooms with fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Sheets and towels changed every day! Powerful shower with toiletries included. Staff are lovely and friendly and very helpful. Lots of choice at breakfast of hot and cold buffet with wonderful cakes and croissants too. This is a brilliant base for walkers and sightseers and central to everything. One street back from the central train/Metro and bus stations. High speed trains direct to airport. Lots of shops nearby and hundreds of lovely trattoria with amazing authentic food. The Trattoria opposite the hotel is home to a nutty patron who makes you feel very welcome in a Fawlty Towers kind of way! Very funny. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. A real gem. Thank you!

A hidden gem

I stayed here with my wife and teenage daughter for 4 nights and was very impressed. From the outside it doesn't look much and even a little tired. There's a couple of restaurants on the street nearby (we didn't try them) and it's a block behind the main station terminus from where you can get the metro to some of the sights. Only some as the metro is not extensive (for fear of disturbing undiscovered archeological sites). Inside, reception is small and unimpressive, but the staff are all nice and very helpful. There is a lounge area but no bar. Behind reception is the restaurant, which is ok if a little small. There's a good choice for breakfast including bacon and scrambled eggs. cereal, yoghurt, bread, pastries, fruit etc. The restaurant staff again are very nice and polite. A nice grand, marble staircase (there is a lift also), leads up to the accomodation. The rooms - or at least the one we had - seem recently refurbished in a mix of modern and classical style. Very clean, with plenty of storage and a kettle with tea/coffee. The bathroom is a good size with a good shower. We walked to the sights most days, sometimes taking the metro in the evening to a restaurant and once down to the Pyramide and back from the Vatican. We walked to the Trevi Fountain in 15-20 mins, The Spanish Steps are about 5 minutes further. The Pantheon is around a 20-25 min walk as is the forum and colosseum. Even the Vatican isn't much more than 30 mins walk. So location wise, its a good bet. We arrived late so took a taxi from the airport in around 25 mins for a fixed price of 50 Euros. You can get the express train into Termini round the corner, but I think it was 14 Euro each and with three of us, therefore not hugely cheaper and less convenient than the taxi. If you're used to or want 5 star elegance, this isn't for you. If you want a friendly, clean hotel in a good location with a comfortable room and decent shower, then I'd thoroughly recommend it. I'd happily stay here again.

Great hotel in Rome

Great hotel with good breakfast (with excellent coffee), Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Very close to main Termini station for railway trains and Metro lines A & B. 2 Small lifts/elevators for 2 people max
