Ireland currency

The currency used in Ireland is the Euro (EUR).

Notes are €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200 and €500, while coins are 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, €1 and €2. You can exchange money at a local post office or bank, or you can order your travel money from Thomas Cook Travel Money.

Alternatively, you can order a travel money card if you don’t want to carry wads of cash around with you. With access to wholesale rates, we offer better rates than much of the high street, making your holiday spends stretch that little bit further.
