Hvar Island - currency

The official currency of Croatia is now the Euro.  It replaced the Kuna on 1st January 2023.

It's always a good idea to change some Sterling before you leave the UK. You can either exchange your cash at a local post office or bank. Alternatively, you can get your Euros from Thomas Cook Travel Money and have it delivered straight to your door. Using a travel money card is another option, not to mention it's an efficient and safe way to carry money on holiday. And with competitive rates, your holiday spends will stretch even further, which means more cash to splash on things like food and day trips.

Credit cards are widely accepted across the city too, although you may find that some restaurants and cafés only accept cash.
