Lovely end of season break

Spent October half term at the hotel. This was a holiday that had been cancelled and rearranged 5 times due to covid so we were relieved to finally get away. Due to ages of kids (14 & 16)we had to have 2 rooms. We opted for the rooms with the hot tubs on the deck. They are all on the 2nd floor and overlook the pool with a distant sea view. Note you would not want older children sleeping on the sofas in the living area as they are small like toddler beds and not pull out sofa beds. Rooms immaculate and beds really comfortable. Lots of storage space and a lovely walk in shower. Bottle of fizz in the fridge and fresh flowers which was a really nice touch. Platter of fresh fruit delivered on our last night as well. Towels changed twice a day if needed and pool towels could be changed in the evening at reception. Huge balcony with table and chairs, 2 sun loungers and a hot tub. The hot tub is actually an out door bath and you fill it yourself every time you use it so no worrying about manky hot tub water! Food was good - we only had one dinner that was a bit random. Breakfast really good with omlettes cooked to order. Choice of non - dairy and lactose free milk as well. Lunch had huge choice of salad and a different paella everyday. Dinner had at least 3 things grilled to order and lots of other choice. Wine was self serve, as was beer and soft drinks. It was end of season so not incredibly busy but we tended to eat lunch after 1 and dinner at 8 when families with little kids had finished. Pool was freezing (not heated as per brochure) but no issues with sun beds as there were loads. Sea was 5 mins walk out the back gate (use room key to get in and out). Sea was warmer than pool and really clear and sandy. It's a blue flag beach. Sa Coma very quiet due to a combination of covid and time of year. Very easy to get bus to Palma and Porto Cristo (Caves of Drach). Bus website is in English and it even gives you pictures of the bus stops so you know what to look for. Buses are tap in, tap out with your bank card and it's much cheaper to do this than pay cash. 90 mins to Palma and last bus back at 9.15pm. All in all a lovely holiday in a quiet resort. Entertainment very low key but that's how we like it.

Good hotel with below average all inclusive

We visited the hotel in half term week (23-30 October), there was five in our party, me and my husband and our three kids, ranging from 15 to 20. We normally go to Turkey but with the pandemic our two holidays to Turkey had been cancelled and we decided to book a ‘green’ country to get away. Sa coma is very quiet, and we had arrived at the very end of the season and this possibly affected our overall holiday. The hotel was clean, and the staff were all very efficient and very nice. Breakfast was a great meal, with omelettes to order etc; dinner was not great just the same meal most days; and the evening meal was varied and often themed too so it was good. We went to the Mexican at the safari hotel one night, and it was lovely. All inclusive drinks were poor! If you wanted Smirnoff you had to pay, only €1,85 but still - the house vodka tasted like perno and was disgusting. The inside pool was tiny, and had to be booked at reception, like crazy golf and tennis too. The riffle and archery were good fun. It is a decent hotel, with lovely staff, meals are ok, the all inclusive needs improved - esp for the Brits. I’m not sure if I’d go back with my family, as they are older and have different expectations to younger children, but it was ok.

Good for the price.

I always read reviews but never normally write them. Before I came, I wanted to know more so that’s why I’m writing this. Me and my boyfriend who are 19 and 20 stayed here 16/10-23/10 as all inclusive. When arriving at the hotel at around 1pm, we was told to go to our room 227 which was a pool front room, we booked with tui and I requested this but did not pay extra. We weren’t shown to our room, we just had to find it. The rooms are nice, we had a kettle, toaster and microwave despite being all inclusive. As you walked in there was a tiny kitchen area with a living room and balcony and then a separate bathroom which only had a shower so no bath. The drinks don’t really have much to offer. You can have your soft drinks and house spirits but there was only 3 cocktails to choose from. The house vodka was very strong and the only cocktails we liked was the tequila sunrise. If you wanted Smirnoff or any other cocktail then you would have to pay extra. There was a bar inside which was never open and then the pool bar which opened from 10am - 12pm ish depending on how many people are there. The breakfast was ok, I am not a really big eater at breakfast but my boyfriend got full English most days. I just had brioche etc. The lunch was again ok, there wasn’t much selection. I just ate pasta and rice. The tea was themed, but every night had fish on. Particularly, I don’t like fish but my boyfriend does and had something different everynight. There was ice cream and deserts on for lunch and tea which I made the most out of. The drinks served were very limited at eating times and were self serve. It was either juice, pop, estrella or red wine. You get to choose from one of the restaurants from either the Italian on site or the other sister hotels. We was told the Italian on site was just the same as what they did in the bigger buffet so we decided to go to the country grill which is in the safari hotel. We booked this at the reception which you need to do the day before and they did not give any advice on where to go. Even when I asked just said to go to the hotel across. The country grill was quite disappointing. It was self serve and had various meats but the steak was good. The drinks were just the same as the buffet style drinks and were self serve. One of the people we was speaking to in the hotel told us about the crazy golf which we weren’t told about this when we arrived. You get one free crazy golf pass per booking. We booked this at reception and it was located in the safari hotel which we had to find ourselves again. You get a ticket from reception and then give it in at the bar at the safari hotel in exchange for your golf sticks etc. This was actually really good fun. If you are coming and wanting to go to a waterpark, there is no big ones near and it was 50 euro including transfer each to go to the big ones which are on the other side of the island. The entertainment was okay, Children’s entertainment was around 8-9pm and then they did something small after or had music on for the adults. I think they could massively improve on their entertainment. Personally we went to the kings head which is a bar which serves food. That was open until 3am and they do 1/2Litres of cocktails. We loved the kings head and was there every night. We ate out at the BIA steakhouse which is not far and got a mixed grill which was only around 21 euro. The best place definitely try here, the food is amazing. We also booked a boat trip which was 25 euro each for 3 hours. We booked this near the Kleiner pier. It was quite packed but we did go on the 12pm one. We visited quite a few places, seen caves and there was 2 swim stops. These are boats where you can see the fish underneath. We paid over £400 each for this holiday so we didn’t expect it to be perfect but I definitely think they should look into making more drinks all inclusive and have a look at the entertainment. Hope this helps you all to make your decision :)
