This family-friendly hotel sits between the white sands of Playa de Muro Beach and the wooded hills of S'Albufera Park on the northeast coast of Majorca. The onsite facilities include two outdoor pools, a spa (with children admitted until 3pm) and a gym. Plus there’s fitness classes and the opportunity to hire a bike, so you can explore the island the green and healthy way.

Star Camp is Iberostar’s programme of fun activities for kids of all ages. 4-7 year olds can swing around in the Monkey Club, while 8-12s can get acquainted with the underworld world of the Dolphins. Eager teenagers can join in the surprises at the Eagles. (Note the Dolphin and Eagle Clubs only operate in July and August).

At the main Tramuntana Restaurant you’ll be presented with a buffet offering a selection of Spanish and international dishes. Themed nights include tapas, Mexican, Chinese and more. In the summer you can enjoy an al fresco lunch at Dunas. Gust offers a la carte dining with a menu consisting of responsibly sourced seafood, hummus, falafel, rice dishes, plus grilled meats and vegetables. Maybe finish off with a three layered chocolate and mint millefeuille or a limoncello souffle? A separate children’s menu includes kids’ favourites such as Neapolitan pizza, chicken nuggets and chocolate cake. You can also grab light bites and drinks at the street food truck, open from 12:30 to 5:30pm.

If you love a pint of ale or bitter, you won’t want to miss The Beer Garden, where 25 different varieties are served. In high season there’s the outdoor Dunas Bar where you can sip a cool drink while admiring the sea view. For a lively end to the day visit the Ponent Lounge, where you can sip your cocktail as you enjoy the nightly show.

In line with Iberostar’s environmental policy all rooms are free of single use plastics. The standard option includes air conditioning, a 40” TV and a minibar. Maybe you’ll choose to pay a little extra to benefit from a sea view. The Family rooms include a kitchenette and sofa bed.

Thanks to the handy bus stop, the 6km journey to the nearby walled city of Alcudia can be made by either public transport or hire car. Within the fortifications you will find the 13th century Orati de Santa Anna church. Over at the Monographic Museum, check out archaeological exhibits from Roman times. These include mosaics, amphorae (storage jars), coins and marble tablets.

Fancy a day trip? Majorca’s relatively small so it’s easy to visit all the sights, even those on the other side of the island. Why not catch the bus to the capital, Palma de Mallorca, 52km away – there’s a direct route. You won’t want to miss the famous seafront cathedral. Afterwards explore the Old Town's cobbled streets or head into the Arabic quarter, known for its art galleries and boutiques.

Wonderful all around experience

Just great in every way. Friendliest and most helpful staff! During the off season prices are phenomenal. Very clean. Excellent food. During off season some things on the north shore are not available. You must drive, take the bus or taxi for some tours but still plenty of beach and hiking areas. And of course many bike stores are open.

Unique holiday, they say that we , the customers are the star in iberostar but I think the true stars and they should be celebrared are the staff working tiredlessly and going above and beyond to spoil us every step of the holiday.Food was beautiful, location stunning, and the unique architecture leaves you speachless .Special mention to Oscar and alberto, they are a very funny couple , working together, always made my son laugh, evan though they dont speak english very funny
