Viva Mallorca & Spa is an apartment hotel in Can Picafort, on the east coast of the Spanish island of Majorca. It's a short walk from the sandy beach of Can Picafort in the popular bay of Alcudia. A hotel for the whole family, Viva Mallorca & Spa has a pool area and arranges activities for children and adults during the day and in the evening. The hotel is set around its garden, sun terrace and two main outdoor pools, where you can soak up the rays or lounge in the shade on one of the canopied day beds. If you fancy a swim that's likely to be a little more peaceful, the smaller of the two pools is just for adults. There's also a children's pool. To help you unwind, you can visit the spa and relax with a treatment or massage, or enjoy the indoor pool with water jets, an outdoor whirlpool, sauna and Turkish bath. If you want to stay active, you can use the gym, which has cardio and weight machines. Or, if you'd rather be outside to exercise, you could have a game of tennis on the hotel's own court. Wi-Fi is available throughout Viva Mallorca & Spa.
Viva Mallorca & Spa is a 500m walk from the centre of Can Picafort. This bustling town is popular with tourists and offers a variety of themed bars, restaurants and shops selling souvenirs. It has a weekly market on Friday mornings where you can buy local delicacies, as well as leather bags, handmade jewellery and clothes. The town's beach is 700m from the hotel and offers a sandy stretch of shoreline that surrounds the bay of Alcudia. Here, you'll also find a long promenade that's a favourite with walkers and cyclists who want to take in the scenery.
The restaurant at Viva Mallorca & Spa has a buffet that's available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks, sandwiches, fruit and ice cream are all on offer throughout the day at the pool bar, and until late in the main bar. The bars also have soft and alcoholic drinks.
Children can join in with the hotel's kids' club, have fun on the playground or splash about in their pool.
Zafiro Mallorca has a large, lovely pool area. For those of us who like a bit of peace, recommend the smaller pool with an age limit of 18 years.
Renovated in 2017/18, apartments have a bright decor. All come with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, satellite TV and a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge freezer and hot plates.

Great hotel
First time visiting Can Picafort we usually go Cala Dor. Personally I prefer Cala dor to Can picafort but this hotel is really good so we would return. The food was great so much choice, during the day the main restaurant was closed (we were off season) so lunch was outside in the Al'carte from the menu and the food was really good. We have small kids and one in particular loves the mini discos. The mini disco was around 5 pm in the pool which for us is too early. The pool is freezing by 5pm and we like to go to the mini discos after dinner. The beach is a 10 minute walk away it's a beautiful beach and shops and restaurants are a short stroll away too. Transfer is long (we were jet2) took about 2 and half hours because it goes around all the towns in the North and can picafort is last so I'd recommend a private transfer if you can. The pools are great (cold) kids loved them and you can take inflatables in. Sea was warmer than the pools and its so clear with loads of fish, we took a banana and bread from breakfast and the fish went crazy for it. We would definitely return. The drinks are really good and it's table service. You won't regret!
Good family hotel
Excellent food and service, very clean, great for families with smaller children. The pool is designed more for younger children. The rooms could use some renovation, but are very clean. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept.
First time to Mallorca
Having recently battled cancer we needed time together and wanted a short distanced destination. We chose the hotel based on the reviews and images on the website. Arriving at the hotel we were not disappointed and immediately made to feel welcome. We had booked a studio with private pool and patio which was stunning however due to the time of year even though the weather was still 27 degrees we were unable to use. The water was freezing and the sun never shone on the patio. The same goes for the other outdoor pools they too were freezing. The sea however which is only a 10 minute walk away was warm enough for a dip and absolutely stunning along with the views. Food was to a good standard but towards the end of our holiday this became less and less as the hotel was getting ready to close. Even still there was still enough to tempt us. The resort itself is very picturesque with bars restaurants and numerous souvenir shops. However when travelling this late in the season be aware that many of these will have closed or be in the process of closing however as we didn't come for those we didn't mind and it meant the beach along with the promenade was nearly empty so we could really enjoy the peace and quiet. My birthday was the second day in the hotel and when we returned from a walk to the beach there was a bottle of champagne and a card which was unexpected as we hadn't mentioned this to the hotel this made us feel valued as a guest.
