Family holiday with two children aged 8 and 11 all incl. Good points: - travelled with jet 2. Excellent customer service as usual - easy to navigate around hotel on arrival no issues locating room. - mix of guests at the hotel no issues and no rowdy behaviour. Family hotel no adult only areas so if you re after peace and quiet suggest another hotel. -rooms cleaned to a good standard and staff in restaurant and pool bar work hard all day to keep things running. - my son enjoyed the football activities. - burgers and chips very nice at poolside bar - nice location, around 15 minutes walk to beach and tourist shops. Beach is nice, lovely views but very busy. Mini train arrives regularly outside hotel and is a good way to travel around resort (ask for leaflet at reception). Note staff on train are not that friendly but its return tickets and good value for money. - san miguel on tap. Areas for improvement: - arrival, no welcome drink the drink area was a mess with dirty glasses none available for us. To be fair it was busy with arrivals but first impressions count esp at a 4 star hotel. - food poor overall. Limited choice. An example would be breakfast. Bacon ( more like ham) sitting alongside, eggplant, peas...surely a better choice would be mushrooms etc Mexican night was better with chilli ...chicken fajita ...meals that were popular ... - rooms /buildings inside as stated in other reviews desperate for a refurb. - ants in room probably due to being on ground floor. - no wow factor. Needs a pool development some good slides for older kids or at least have a couple of days when a large inflatable slide is put in main pool. -sun loungers again are desp for replacement or a good clean. - lifeguards. Generally better than most hotels saw a man walking around pool most days. However its not like uk...they arent watching pool all of the time and service towels etc so you still need to keep a watch on kids. - didnt attend entertainment apart from bingo night so wont comment on that. - you dont get brand names and only a few cocktails avail on all inclusive. Should be whole menu or at least one or two more. - transfer time over 1 hr 30 mins. Not sure what can be done but worth a considering trying to reduce. Overall we had a good time ...its a good 3 star hotel...few improvements and will easily be a 4.

Amazing place to stay

Came back early hours this morning after being here for a week with my other half and 2 children all inclusive , we were welcomed by champagne and happy staff at reception , transfer from airport was a little long (only being as Vell Mari is the last place for people to be dropped of so took an hour and a half to get to the hotel from Palma airport.) The rooms are clean and a good size my kids had the bedroom and we had the pull out bed , kind of comfortable but we rather the kids have a comfortable sleep over us having any lol , cleaners came to our room every day without fail and made our beds as long as we left the sign on the door for it to be done :) . Food - there’s always something you can eat from chips to salad and always a chef cooking fresh food all the time during the hours of the restaurant, snack bar was everyone’s favourite, open from 11.30 -17.30 and the kids loved it , burgers hot dogs , chips , the lot they will never be hungry haha. Entertainment- this hotel is centred around children which is why we choose it , the entertainers are all there playing making sure our kids are having the best time , eve entertainment could do with being a little better but the kids enjoyed it and that’s what matters Can honestly say I would come back here 100% well done Vell Mari one of the best holidays iv been on !!!

Great family holiday for 11 nights

Family of 4!! Great apartment yes outdated but was very comfortable and the children had separate beds as one was a pull out from the sofa. Air con in room we found fab! We were in the last block with a garden view which we loved as wasn’t too noisy when the children went to sleep at 10! Coke etc from bar seemed watered down or flat all the time. Drinks from the restaurant were nice and fizzy! Food was nice, a little repetitive at times but good standards, fresh bread at every meal time available! We loved the pool areas, but yes you will need to place your towel by at least 8am. The staff were fabulous! Entertainment team great, my daughter loved the mini disco every night, I even learnt some moves lol. We would definitely come back but the only down fall is it’s not nearer to shops and the beach , it’s around a 15 min walk and with children in the heat isn’t always great. There is a Lidl just over the road though and an on-site small shop where the shop keeper was very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much and miss it already.
