Dunes Platja

Dunes Platja is an apartment hotel in Can Picafort on Majorca's northeast coast. A few steps take you to the sands of Can Picafort beach, which has clear water for swimming and paddling. It's part of the long stretch of beach that runs around the Bay of Alcudia. The hotel is built in a modern style with a coloured exterior and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the grounds. The centre of the resort of Can Picafort is a short walk away from the hotel, and here you'll find a selection of places to eat and drink all along the seafront and further into town. The hotel has a heated outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a sun terrace and gardens. It looks down towards the beach and the Mediterranean Sea. Dunes Platja has a choice of three restaurants and two bars, or you can prepare your own meals in your Self Catering apartment with ingredients bought in local shops and supermarkets, steps away from the hotel. It's a short drive to Playa de Muro, where there's a sandy beach, a family-friendly fun park and a variety of places to eat. You'll be within a day trip of attractions across Majorca, including the waterfront city of Palma and the subterranean caverns of the Caves of Drach.

Dunas Platja is 300m from the centre of Can Picafort, with its souvenir shops, boat-lined harbour and seafood restaurants. You'll be 50m from Can Picafort Beach and 200m from the local supermarket. It's 6.5km to the white sands and shallow water of Playa de Muro, which stretches for over 5km. The beach backs onto the S'Albufera park and wetlands, with its pine trees, meadows and walking trails. Further afield, its 63km to the island's capital, Palma, where you'll find medieval streets lined with shops, pavement cafÈs and tapas bars. It's 46km to the Caves of Drach, which is Europe's largest underground lake.

You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the buffet restaurant, or dine at the two a la carte restaurants. Outside seating is available if you prefer to enjoy your meals in the sunshine. As well as the hotel's bars, you'll find a wide selection of places to have a drink within walking distance.

If you like to keep fit, you can work out at the gym or swim in the indoor pool. You can also unwind in the spa.

All apartments come with a terrace or balcony. They have air conditioning and a TV, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave.
