Zafiro Tropic & Spa is a family-friendly hotel on the north eastern coast of Majorca, in an area that's popular with tourists and known for its beaches. It's a short stroll from the Puerto de Alcudia beach, harbour and town centre. It's also close to Alcudia's bay, which is a popular spot for sunbathing and swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel has a buffet restaurant and two bars, including one by the pool, which serve a selection of local and international drinks. The hotel has two main outdoor pools, and another that's just for adults. The children's pool has a pirate ship and a water slide to play on. There's an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, which are open during the cooler months (October to May). The hotel's outdoor areas are lined with palm trees and decorated in a traditional Mediterranean style. Family entertainment takes place several nights a week and runs until late. There's a gym for guests who like to keep active, and activities on offer including mini golf, a pool table and table tennis. A short drive away you'll find Alcudia, a restored medieval town that includes a mix of Roman, Phoenician and Arab cultural heritage.

Zafiro Tropic & Spa is 300m from the beach and 500m from the centre of Puerto de Alcudia. The resort has shops, restaurants and bars. At the port you'll find a night market selling local crafts and souvenirs. For a family day out, you can visit the Hidropark water park, which is a short drive from the hotel. The hotel is walking distance of Alcudia. Its attractions include the neo-Gothic Church of St Jaume. If you want to learn about the history of the area, you can also explore the remnants of a Roman amphitheatre. The Albufera natural park is within driving distance, and is on a cycle path.

You can eat breakfast the buffet restaurant. For lunch and dinner, you can choose from an ala carte menu. The hotel has a bar and a poolside bar serving a selection of international drinks and snacks.

There's a playground, a mini disco and a kids' club. The hotel has a multi-sports court as well as a bicycle storage area.

The rooms are decorated with a fresh, contemporary decor. All rooms have a kitchenette, a satellite TV, and air conditioning in the summer.

All studios located in building 1 with an elevator and two-room apartments adapted for the disabled is located in building 1 and 3. Other apartments are distributed in different buildings. some of the apartment are distributed also in building 2 which does not have a lift. Special building can not be guaranteed.

My tip would be to check out everything twice, first impressions were very good , but lack of facilities for disabled people was a definite let down, in my opinion wheelchair users would not cope easily, i use a walking stick indoors and a rolator to help with outdoors. Had we gone in peak season it would have been a nightmare for all concerned

An excellent hotel

Absolutely no negative comments for this excellent hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent with a huge variety. The apartment was spacious with plenty of wardrobe and draw space and the shower was a delight! Excellent facilities and very clean.

Impromptu MiniBreak!

Local family needing somewhere to stay whilst the storm damage was cleared up. Originally planned to stay 2 nights but extended to 4 given how impressed we were with the hotel, staff and facilities. Would definitely recommend.
